One way to not do that is by not mentioning that we are close to 100. So, by request, I'll ask If a mod could delete this post and the post I am responding to. Try not to let people get excited over nothing is all

I see BaC lately going on about all these rules (I know the most recent one was a joke but there's also been other cases where I remember you flaunting your "I made this thread obey my rulez guys" card) and saying stuff about how he'll get mods involved in deleting posts to deter and lessen reactions to the hundredth page of the Official Discussion Thread because the word '100' is sure fire to immediately make us drop everything we've learnt and done and stray immediately back to incoherent spam.

I'll be watching. be polite. :3

While I do appreciate this reminder and recognize it as a much better response to the possibility of spam than what i've interpretted from BaC to be pretty control freakish, it's as if you see this and forget that we ALL have just gone through ONE HUNDRED pages of actual discussion and content.

It's as if you (no not you Kyoga, BaC) haven't been with all of us here in this thread as we grew up and decided we can talk to each other normally without posting the entire bee movie transcript or spamming 25 pages of cat faces.

As i've already said and will happily repeat, I see this as a major testament to how far we've come in organised thought since Makkon had the spam thread closed. I think that this here is a pretty special moment. It is a cause for a bit of celebration, because look where we are, and look what we've done.

I feel like giving some sort of formal speech to counter Jokeblue to try to redeem myself, but I won't. I feel like maybe my odd jokes are just not liked and that my worry of other people ruining things is too high. I have good reason to worry about people being stupid, but not the people here. Over the time that the spam thread had been gone, we all really have been able to have 100 pages of real discussion. And even if I don't thinks its special, who am I to tell you all that it isn't? We may not all see eye to eye on everything, which is great. That's what's makes a discussion. If everyone agreed in everything , there would be no discussion.

I'm sorry if I came across as kind of rude/aggressive towards you and maybe slammed you a little roughly with that post. I just... aurgh. I just disagree. I usually try and handle my end of an argument/heated discussion (ay ay see what I did there) with a bit more of a level head and I really don't like outright offending people or being mean, but sometimes I just see things and react - not in a way that's carefully worded or as courteous as i'd like - but in the way that I want to. And when I do I may tend to get stubborn or headstrong - because you usually the person i'm arguing with is equally or even more so than I am.

So, i'm sorry. Your jokes aren't always a bad thing. The last one with Alycs and the rules - to be honest - I actually missed the part explaining it as a joke. Not like it was subtle or anything, just because I didn't see it when i read it. You do get kinda defensive/possessive of this thread sometimes, and I can see why that may be. but the point I wanted to make was that it's been around, what, a year since the spam thread was closed? I understand your and the mods/admins trepidation when it came to the thread initially because y'all didn't want this to become the Spam thread 2.0, but it's a year on, and one hundred pages! Like you said, it doesn't matter if we've been using this as the vehicle for conversation because the spam thread was removed, because look at this! We've progressed so much C:

Regardless I have high hopes that allowing this to exist will not be a bad decision on my part, but whether that's the case or not is almost entirely up to your actions as a group.

I'm so sick of posting my personal drama in this thread. But I feel like venting to all you on this thread rather than the actual venting thread. And it's because I've become used to all of you. I don't care that I don't know what most of you actually look like. I don't care if we have never actually met before. I feel like I lean on you all sometimes like I would a real friend.

i cannot believe the amount of mood swings I have had today.
Stupid drama at my house.
All starts off with me having a lack of money. I have about $6.
Me and bro and sis and a friend of mine and a friend of my sister all go to mcdonalds.
I ordered $5.50ish of food.
then my sister asks if I can get something for her.
I cant because i have no more money
later we get home
my sister calls my mom and tells that I did not buy her anything
my brother was there and could have got her something
it wasnt my job to buy her anything.
she had plenty of money from babysitting. idk why she cant buy herself food.
tells my mom i dont buy her food
mom gets mad at me on the phone
gives me jobs over the phone
I do those jobs and am angry at mother for her extreme rudeness to me over the phone.
I post on mlr, consider posting about it, but dont. its not really much
I play destiny for a few hours, really helps calm me down
dad comes home. cool
few hours later, mom comes home
gets called downstairs after a while
BOTH parents call me an ass hole
neither lets me get a word in about the situation
they get mad at me for driving their truck to mcdonalds
even though everytime I ask, they are fine with it
tell me I have to walk to school tomorrow.
I live 15 minutes from school.
speed limit is 45-55 mph
meaning I live about 12 miles from school
at least 2 hour bike ride
multiple hours for walking
and they're serious
parents gave me additional jobs to do over the weekend
including but not limited to:
-detailing truck
-weeding a yard
(the same yard they told my brother to weed for an entire day and he only did for less than 2 hours)
I also cannot go to my cousins house like I wanted to
and I cannot make any plans which I already had some to hang out with a friend


all because I did not buy my sister anything (but my brother had money and could.)

And did I mention my brother did not get into any trouble? none. no extra jobs
not grounded
nothing
my brother is 16 years old
im 18
he is 2 years younger than me, so its not like he cant do aything
my sister is a freshman in high school, and she made hundreds of dollars over the summer babysitting
she should have saved her money








this is literally what makes me so angry about life. what is the point of it if I am never going to be happy

BAC. Now that your parents have hopefully calmed the f$%ck down i hope you can pull one aside and explain the situation and how unfair that is. It's not fair for them to hear her side of the story and not let you tell your side. If that continues, then consider moving out, cause if you're 18, then they need to treat you like an adult cause you are. I dunno if you're stuck there til college or what but srsly find a way to talk to them intelligently (as we cant fix ur problems but they sure as hell can)

I haI actually made plans to move out earlier this year but I didn't because I would not be able to financially support myself while still in high school. But it's senuor year so I just have to wait one more year and then I'll be working full time forever. I make decent money so I'll actually be able to move out. I have saved a bit of money too so that would help quite a bit. I'm really sick and tired of my parents not treating me like an adult.
Their philosophy is that if I live on their house, I follow their rules. There are no bonus privileges for being 18. I get the same rules and privileges as my 16 year old brother. Except they make me work more. And I actually have less privileges than him because I can't stay the night at my friends house because I'm "too old".
I'm seriously moving out next summer. I just need to have my car by then and one that actually works.

I detail vehicles all the time at work. Or literally my job except I detail construction equipment which is even more difficult than a regular truck.
But is stupid that I have to do that regardless.
