Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

What if drinking just completely stopped?

Please don't actually try to argue this. I'm just saying, if drinking stopped altogether, there would be a lot less problems and more time to think about other issues.

Public transport most places in the U.S. is very terrible, but yes! That is a viable alternative in many places that I didn't even consider. Thank you for that.

P.S. yeah the gallery link works this time

So my gay cousin was telling me about his sec life. And I'm straight.
It didnt really bother me that he is gay. I'm not homophobic. But it's just kind of odd hearing someone tell me their sex life from that side of the street. And in all reality, its weird that anyone would tell me their sex life. I never asked. Plus, he is like 14 year older than me a s he was talking about his time with someone my age. Is that weird? Idk
He did mention that they did do 69. Which is only relevant for this page.

My gay cousin wants me to show him my "package". Which I don't know how to feel about that. Because I don't feel uncomfortable enough to say "no" but at the same time I'm not comfortable to just say "yes". Is there something wrong with this situation, or does everyone run into weird situations like this sometime?

About the "wrongness" only you can decide, but well, you're amazing to give this page what it needs xD

Your (un)comfortableness sounds familiar. Either decide whether you care or not if it's uncomfortable (if it really is), or you just do it and think back later. Not sure how good my advice is, but this I'd do.

EDIT - oh and, maybe your cousin's telling you this all because he wants to have someone close to him (you know, family) to talk about that kinda stuff?

BaC, that's honestly a little bit disconcerting, to me, personally. For me, asking to see someone's junk is not really ever an appropriate direction for a conversation to take, outside of intimate relationships, heavy drinking, and doctors visits, and this doesn't sound like one of those three cases.

I guess I can't speak definitively, since I don't know the full context of the conversation, but that sounds like a situation that would make me very uncomfortable, indeed.

It's probably because he might want someone to talk to about being gay. He hangs out with y brother a lot Nd he is homophobic. And he knows my cousin is gay. So my cousin doesn't really get to express his gayness around my brother. But my cousin knows I'm not homophobic so he talks about it more with me and he trusts me more becuse he doesn't have I worry thy I would tell my parents the things he says.

Whatever you say. Be careful, though.

Stuntddude wrote:On an unrelated note, does anyone know how to recover any amount of MIDI/plugin information from seemingly corrupted .flp project files that crash FL every time I try to open them?

I don't remember exactly how to resolve this, but I had an issue like this a while back. You need to get a hex editor and open the .flp in there. The corruption almost always occurs on one particular line in the file header, and if you edit the line to match a normal file's header, then you should be able to open the file in FL, although you'll probably lose some data. Once you do that, there's probably one plug-in that's causing FL to save the files badly. You'll want to take out that plug-in and replace it with something else. If this hasn't happened to you before, you'll want to focus on plug-ins you d/led recently. Before doing anything, though, make sure you make a copy of the corrupted file before you make any edits in the hex editor, so you can revert to it if you happen to make the corruption worse.

I'd like to be more helpful about this, but I don't really even remember where I got this information.

Big thing happened today.

I went to lunch with 3 of my bosses. I went to a Mexican restaurant. I don't typically like Mexican food, but usually they have a burger or something simple in the menu. This one didn't. I almost panicked because I didn't know what to order because nothing looked good. My bosses all ordered as soon as they walked in because they know what they want and usually get. My boss suggested I get a steak and bean burrito. I don't like beans. But I said yea. And then I got the burrito and it wasn't bad. I avoided disrespecting my boss :3
Then later today, my boss gave me a pay raise. Boom. Last pay raise was up $1.50. This time I went up (drumroll please.......) $2.50. So with only 2 raises in my two years working, I went up $4.00 so far. I ALSO got a promotion in addition to all this. I'm now gonna be in the IT department and will also do some inspection work on machines. (Because I work for a construction equipment company if anyone forgot.) now, I feel more ready to financial tackle some expenses I'm gonna have to pay now. :3
The reason my boss gave me such a big raise (IMO) is because he likes me. And everyone that I work with likes me. And all the other bosses like me. Everyone on the lot likes me. And they see me working hard for them on a consistent daily basis. I am friends with my boss, and I am glad for that.

Moral of the story: making good relations with all kinds of people can really benefit a person's situation if you work at it long and hard enough.

Anyone else agree?

Too bad my previous boss didn't like me because I'm quite flamboyant and openly bisexual and I'm pretty sure he's homophobic... He always seemed to cut me out of conversations between other workers.

So the thing is, I'm actually kind of shy. And I look scary. And I get nervousness easily thinking about things like, "what would we talk about?" If I knew I was gonna have a conversation with someone. Like, I wanna meet up with freewave. One worry in my mind is, "what if we both just dont say anything and it gets awkward and we just don't connect so its weird to talk to each other?" Or something like that. Like, freewave and I are both adults. But it's weird because freewave is also a Dad. Most people I talk to are not typically adults. Or fathers. So yea. I'm not a social butterfly all the time. I have my worries. But I try I please people. Not always by words but by actions too. Like doing favors for people or just helping out. But yea. Totally have worries about talking to people. But somehow I manage to do it.

Out of curiosity do any of you have experience with PTSD or something similar?
For example with me I can't get to sleep most nights because whenever I close my eyes at night all I see is the moment it happened to me...

I hear this super often from other musicians but I actually don't know that I've had this experience. So far, popular opinions of my music has lined up pretty well with my own opinion of my music; my personal favorite pieces of mine tend to end up being others' favorites as well.

Well that in turn makes me feel quite a bit better about my prospects.

yay, Hasbro has given me a 3rd party content notice for This Is What I Found. Now I can support a large money hungry corporation by having their ads on my music, which is 90% original (not to mention that the other 10% has been modified). Too bad I didn't monetize the video, then I could have gotten a full copy right strike. :umm:

It might be time for me to file my music for copyright.

I'm curious how far these claims will extend. Are they targeting only material that has content from the show in it? Or anything with a pony sticker on it? If they nab any of my stuff, I'll be a little unhappy, since the music itself contains 0% sampled MLP material.

The only other notice that I have recieved was on my This Day Aria remix. But I used video footage directly from the show and I didn't mess with the original audio like I did with TIWIF (plus, it was a long time ago). So, I would say that its just show remixes, but there was that Hooves Up High remix.

Oh my god I'm never staying up so long on my laptop ever again. I slept only two hours (which isn't that abnormal because I do that a lot with staying up reading fanfiction on my PSP) and I -have- to go, but I feel like a ... I don't know, something extremely sleepy on the brink of collapse.

Gonna try to crank it up bit by bit with some groovy Deep House.
