Can I just say that someone should totally make Kitchencore a thing? Even if it's a name for a collab album as an mlr in joke, I just wanna see Kitchencore become a thing.

I just hope some of them are actually successful, there's so many people may easily be divided between them which results in very few participants in many projects =/

Well, I've posted it on a lot of different forums too. I've already received one Nu-Style remix xD

Freewave wrote:I'd hate to settle down with one. Being a multiple genre musician is a blessing (never get bored) and a curse (those who subscribe won't necessarily like the next track and you dont have a specific style).

And that's exactly why I got three aliases, which are not for specific genres, but specific classifications.
Warmonger O is for hard, noisy and aggressive.
Xalpheon is for calm, deep, and meditative.
ExoBassTix is for energetic, dancey stuff.

And on the topic of what Pyre was talking about, I wouldn't put a whole ton of stress on what particular genre/s I'd do. I scarcely even think of what genre I'm even doing most times I start a project, I usually find the idea dies pretty quickly if I preemptively lean towards anything in particular.

It's less about what particular genre and more about enjoying doing it in my experience. It'll still fall into some category or another either way.

Do psytrance! I am so alone.

Right now it's a 50/50 between trance and UK Hardcore/eurobeat. Liking many genres is a burden!

I do (will), on my main alias. That's the point I'm trying to get across; I want one with a regular genre.

I just do aggro, and the occasional joke song, since it's what I mainly listen to. I was thinking of trying some Code 64-ish synthpop down the line, since I'm so in love with the style

I do mostly electro, house, electro-hop and glitch-hop with the odd big room, drum & bass, dubstep or purely experimental track. Bleh.
We breakfast is e

House. Glitch Hop. IDM. Breakbeat. Chillout. Footwork. Lo-fi. Vaporwave. Noise. These are some of the genres I like to completely ruin.

I just make whatever comes into my head, and if I like it I try and finish it. I find it more fun just trying out different genres and styles rather than trying to make one which is set in stone.

I just built what has to be the most bullshit heat-sink I've ever witnessed to cool a MOSFET...

I rubber banded two parallel straightened paper clips to a Tupperware container, and suspended a small heat-sink between them with the MOSFET attached, and in the container is a ton of crushed up ice. Basically as it heats up, it melts the ice, which moves up the ice so more melts, and keeps it cooled without any evaporating into the electronics.

This is why you just buy the right parts

Hey guys, apologies for this, but does anyone know of any soul-crushingly dark dystopian novels I could check out? I have to pick one to read for my English class, and I want something that'll really be different. (Haha I read The Road for my summer reading assignment) I'd actually appreciate it a lot if you guys could recommend me something. :)

Dark City: http://www.amazon.com/Dark-City-Frank-Lauria-Adapter/dp/0312963432
Dystopian futuristic setting, murder, mystery, noir and suffering.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_Androids_Dream_of_Electric_Sheep%3F
Perhaps a bit more philosophical than you'd be after, but it does weigh heavy on your soul

My Body, My Enemy: http://www.amazon.com/My-Body-Enemy-Thirteen-Anorexia/dp/0007100728
THE darkest and most horrible book I've read in my life! A young girl is sexually abused by her grandfather, develops severe anorexia and several mental conditions, everything goes to shit, you want to kill yourself around the middle. It's not exactly "dystopian" as used in most contexts, but egad is it soul-crushing!

Just checked over a heap them all, and it looks like I finally have a new reading list! I'm not sure about The Giver series though. The rest seem pretty cool. Do you know of any books that are similar in a post apocalyptic nature to The Book of Eli, Mad Max, Fallout series etc? (I know those aren't books but still thats kind of the thing i'm after) Even something like one of Fallout: Equestria's many spin-offs if they're any good.
