A friend real dear to me told me not so long ago that he doesn't like most Harsh Noise because it's all plain noise without a real story or feeling behind it. And that he loves mine because it does have a story and feeling behind it. That was pretty special to me.

It was when I gave him my latest piece, which was inspired by (nay, a result of) a very sudden depression attack.

I sent annoying ringtone a mediafire link to an EP I released recently and I noticed he listened to it and he said this:

"Yo, yes, sorry - I got your email and had a listen to your EP. I meant to write back sooner but totally forgot (I've been really busy in my real, non-music life) so apologies for that.

My thoughts are that the actual mashing up and the sample selection is really good. The EP was fun to listen to and reminder me a lot of Ecchi-Chan's earlier stuff (don't know if you know of him?). You seem to be naturally good at figuring out what fits well together which is great!

Unfortunately I don't want to do a release because the actual quality of the programmed parts of the songs isn't so good. (For example I hear a lot of standard amen breaks with very little manipulationn and a also the kicks are pretty samey.) Try experimenting with making your own kicks using distortion vsts (for example Ohmicide which is personal favourite).

That said, the EP is a hell of a lot better than my early stuff, lol.
