Well, since I made this a free FLP, which you can DL if you have FL studio 11 btw, I want to know how I did so far. I'm actually liking this and was wondering if there was any knit-picking anyone could do? Possible criticism and construction advice is willingly accepted. Harsh honesty is also good.

Keep in mind that this is so short, its hard to even say anything, really

The modulated basses are poor, not in key with the rest of the thing, and honestly it sounds way better without them. Like way. In chillstep, you can go for something more sublte, like a sinebass with a bit of triangle on top of it, just slowly wobbling along as the undertone.

The reverse kick is way loud, and very distracting, tried turning it down and it sounded better.

The hat shouldnt have this much reverb. You dont want it to drone.

Unless you're trying to use it as an effect, you should NOT go this hard on the sidechain. The lead is drowned away.

Really cool pad, love this pad, you make it? Never really use harmor ever, but now I see maybe it could be cool.

The lead isnt in key with the rest...kinda, I dont know, its weird. It doesnt fit in either case.I kinda played around with it, and I found little stabs to be cool.

Srsly though, lose the basses.

Woo, an actual reply. Thanks for the feedback. I noticed most of your concerns like 30 mins after I posted this. I've done some more work on it to try and make the basses fit, but they seem too snarled and scary. I made a sub like 20 mins ago for the chords. I didn't establish a lead in this one, I didn't like how it sounded and so I took it out, wa like "Fuq dat!" The sidechain is always my problem, I can never tell how much or when there is enough/too much, but since this is sorta a chillstep, i'll bring it down some. I just noticed the hat when you mentioned it, forgot it was even there. Yeah, the rev was loud, but I was just trying to make some random filler, kicked it out now. The basses will definitely need fixing. See I was going for some random dubstep/electro thing in the beginning of the FLP, since that is what most people seem to be doing, so I just thought I'd save them the trouble of messing with a bunch of knobs and crazyness, but then I made that pad, yes, I did make it in harmor (my go to synthesizer). Then, i Decided on a chill step and just threw everything together without a care in the world. 30 mins later I realized I messed up big time with the basses.

Anyways, I really appreciate the harsh constructive criticism and feedback, would not have gotten anywhere without it. I will occasionally update the new free FLP, maybe once or twice a week, depending how much time I have.

Well most people are just like "yeah, well, everything is cool, but *insert whatever here* isn't and maybe you should maybe do something about it. Maybe." They go all fluttershy and stuff. I never heard, or seen, anyone write down what they had in their mind so bluntly. Which is what I consider as "harsh" in terms of criticism. So yeah.
