<pony><original><techno> For Rarity

So I've literally never made techno before. I mostly made this because Freewave was complaining about there not being enough techno in the fandom, earlier. Give me your worst.

This was legit :D

I'd describe this as a piquant blend of techno and trance; driving percussion and calm melody side by side, working together. No complaints here, only enjoyment. Freewave's right, I can't recall hearing much of anything remotely close to this, even if it's not the purest form of techno, but wow, was I missing out. Solid stuff right here.

I agree with eery here. It's a really well done piece and very cool to listen to. The intro is my biggest gripe as well. It feels like the rhythm of the bass doesn't follow the kick. Sorta like they're out of synch, or something. When the hats and anvils (?) come in, the problem's gone.

I like the vocals the way they are. The way I hear them, they're not supposed to be clear. It's not the words that are important, the vocals are used more as an instrument than a singer's part.

As far as the intro, the first sixteen bars in particular are a little bit of my prog trance/psy roots coming to bear, since it's just intro that's not meant to be heard on its own. It was actually inspired by the intro to Suburban Train, and I mostly went with it because I find the sound of the off-beat base to be hilarious.
