Honestly showing up a convention isn't going to be the most reliable indicator of that. I found a lot of the featured guests flown in at the one i attended had their foot halfway out the door and were looking outside the fandom already. Many dj's playing a lot of tracks in their sets that might not have been even been community tracks. If conventions pay for their trip and their airfare of course they will still attend and why wouldn't they and if they sense they can expand their career ouotside of us they often will.

I gotta say, I am having the time of my life going through this thread topic XD

Since I'm so new to the fandom, and at the moment really only know the more popular Brony musicians, I'm getting the awesome opportunity of looking up all these names listed on the thread and enjoying some really spectacular tunes that I would have never found otherwise. So thank you everyone for that! =D

So.... remembering what I just said about being new, I really don't have any new unknown brony musicians to add to the list that has already been compiled here for the past 10 pages, but I do think I can at least name one or two who I think should be more popular.

I had the privilege of meeting this guy on the IRC chat, where he showed me a quick demo of the song he is currently working on, and OH MAN. I gotta say, that song just blew me away. I have since checked out his Youtube account and found he has a ton of other great orchestral arrangements posted up there, so if you guys get the chance you should totally check him out.

I only discovered this person recently, but I've found that Mesogears has some REALLY cool tracks on his youtube account, and when I say really cool, I of course mean 20% cooler 8D
I don't think I need to say much more tho', since you all probably know Mesogears from right here on the forum. =P But yeah, definitely someone who deserves a lot more recognition.

Ok, I'm cheating a little bit here I know. Alex is technically not a brony musician at all, in fact I'm not even sure if he's heard of bronies before XD But I worked with him on my "Oxygen" track, which IS a brony song, so I guess you can say he is unintentionally a Brony Musician XD
The point is, this guy is possibly the greatest musician I have ever met. His "Almost Anyone" project produces some amazing electronic beats that are so easy to fall in love with, and his Solstice project is quite possibly the most beautiful ambient music I have ever heard in my life. Yet, he has under 100 views on nearly all of his videos D:
So if you ever have the chance, and like Ambient or Owl City-esc electronic music, definetly give him a look. (although most of his music is on Bandcamp and Soundcloud as opposed to Youtube, so you would be wise to look there for music as well).

He also makes his own music which you can find on his other channel, but I just absolutely love his singing voice XD He definitely deserves more attention then what he's got right now =)

I'm gonna say that a lot of the musicians I /was/ gonna post here are now pretty overrated.
Panic used to be underrated, but then he sold his soul to being A-list and now he's an idiot.
Some musicians will have little subscribers, like me, but have a track that even got EqD spotlight (like me heueheue direct all Trophy wife EqD spotlight hate to nexgen) so I'm not counting them either.
I'll also just say, Replacer's talent should give him five times the subs Wombstone has, so he's also underrated.

Blaze is NOT underrated. he belongs in the overrated thread IMO, but he's not underrated. Plus he's a nob.

Senntenial sounds far too professional to have as little attention as he does now. His recent EP is more refined, amazing and unique than anything EqD have ever spotlighted.

Unfortunately, I haven't, but I'd like to (unless you count the fact that he processed my vocals on "Second in Command").
