<Non-Pony><Original> Worlds Collide

Postby Aviators » 06 Jan 2012 20:45

So, I made this song a good while back... I've learned alot since then, so I decided to take it and re-invent it with some new skills I've picked up. I released it to my YouTube channel just today, and I figured I'd post it here for anyone who was interested in taking a listen. Feedback only helps me improve, good or bad, so feel free to say whatever you may think!

And I do realize I'm an absolutely terrible singer, but you can't blame a guy for trying!

I can't describe how beautiful this is! The refrain ... oh god so awesome!
There's one single thing that could be better. The drums somehow drown in the refrain so you almost can't hear them anymore. But that's all. And it still sounds awesome.

Haha thanks! I noticed that about the drums... I'll definitely try to fix that on future songs. I'm still working on my drum mastering. xD

I don't think it's a problem of the drums being too low, but of the synth and maybe the vocals being too loud/overwhelming. I'd turn down the volume on the vocals a bit, and try to add more presence to the drums in spite of everything. Aside from that, my, this is a really cool song!

Also, don't worry, your singing is fine. c:

I really like that piano intro. I do think that the saw chords during the refrain are a bit loud. Try making your hats a bit more pronounced to add some groove. I really love that snare at 1:19, nice work.

Also, don't worry, your singing is much better than many I know. Great track!

Thanks!

I suck at hi-hat lines, so I've been practicing. xD This song definitely did lack some groove, so I've been playing around with it just for fun. Hopefully my future songs will have some better groove!

And thanks for saying that my singing isn't that bad... I've always thought it sucked, but people seem to say it's not that bad, so perhaps I'll pump out some more vocal tracks in the near future. ;) I always like a challenge!
