Anyway, the track sounds good, although there's a bit too much side-compression for my taste. Also, you could have probably ended the song around the four minute mark as nothing really new is introduced after that point.

As for the space thing, it's probably because of the deep reverb. You might want to fiddle with some instruments that don't have as much reverb to get some nice contrast and have a section really pop out to the listener.

If I can find some courage in my desk, I'll PM you one of my many WIPs.

It is still very much a WIP, I definitely was thinking of adding more instruments and changing up the part past 4:00, so I'm glad you said all that.
