Just listened to a fandom artist named DJ Blaze who makes hip-hop beats. Here is the fantastic original.

Just a fair warning: I'm not proficient with hip-hop at all. You have been warned.

Okay, so that was a good track. Very smooth and chill.
Personally, that snare sounded a pinch to loud.
I like those little vocal samples in the back ground.
I felt like the track could use something else with a sharp transient in addition to the drums (maybe just a spike-y pluck or something). I don't know what that would sound like, but I'd experiment with it in some manner if this were my track.

Nice work!
Check out my Soundcloud and give me some feedback on my music! Please and thank you!

I have based my mixing on that of many different beat-tapes, particularly that of J Dilla's '1996 What Up Doe Sessions' . That may be the reason why the mixing seems off. I've tried using a bass guitar pluck, and decided against it. It seemed to take away the vibe and mushiness.
