Yay! :D
Hey, I just got PonyVisation's submission! If you don't know him he is the guy who makes those amazing piano improvisations. This one's really beautiful too but you can't hear it yet because reasons.

So the people I contacted who actually responded were AndTheRainfall, Scarlett Peace, PonyVisation, and hrmnzr. I guess I know who I need to contact now! :)

Oh darn; if all else failed I was going to do a piano improv but I guess that's taken.

I guess I could set up my keyboards to orchestral emulators and do orchestral improv but I've never tried that before.

Alycs, I'm actually doing a piano improv too... :)
Actually what PonyVisation submitted is a piano-driven orchestral composition. I don't actually know if it's an improv but it doesn't sound like one. It sounds more new-agey. I'd say, go for it! :)

I submitted my song, and also made a little preview of it on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SH2rz1W ... e=youtu.be

This is New-Age Classical orchestral with piano being the main driving point behind this. The piano is a improvisations, but it isn't just a pure-improv. It has around 25 other instruments (strings being a large majority) throughout the song.

So feel free to piano imrpov! I did a piano improvisation for Seeds of Kindness 1 and it was well received. It was featured on one of the albums "thank you" videos.

This was very fun to participate in.

Just submit it anytime on the 15th. Within reason, we probably won't reject anything a little bit after that. So take yor time, but hurry.

Also make it as long as you want. But yeah, don't push yourself too hard to make a 10 min epic or whatever. Just do as much as you feel confident doing.

Our power went out earlier today, so I wasn't able to finish my original track, but I'm going to be submitted another of my songs that I haven't published yet in a little bit.

===

Okay, I'm uploading the .wav right now but its going to take a long time as the internet keeps cutting out. To make the deadline, is it okay to send in the .mp3 version and email y'all the .wav after its done?

(I'm going to have to head off in a little bit, so I'm going to assume yes unless told otherwise)

alycs yes that is ok. right now pretty much anything is ok because we want moar songs!!!

whellp I just finished my song! I'm listening to it through once more because I want to make sure it's not stupiid. and I'm not going to title it Seeking Solace because if a song is named after the album they'll assume it's supposed to be the best song on the album and mine is definitely not the best! so help meh think of title.

I wwanted to name my song somethin silly like "idea toast" and my dad thought i should name it something introspective and sophisticated like "let it go" and i wwas like eww cliché much
so in the end i decided on "La Joie de Peinture (avec Bob Ross)"

it dint quite work.. i don't see it in the spredsheet... i guess right now just send in whatver you can, if it has to be low quality so be it, we just need to be able to listen to it to see if it makes the cut. and then when you're ready you can provide the higher quality

I feel awful about this. Would it be possible to update with the lyrical version when I'm not ill?
