The concept of twilight going into highschool is ridiculous and farfetched.
It's like fanfic level.

Every time I think of fanfic, I think of those way strange-crazy-stupid-wtf stories that really make you wonder what the fuck. Pic related, it's a good example of what I mean:


Fanfiction level, in all truth, can be good. There have been quite a few episodes that seemed to be something right out of a well written fanfiction, just in the story behind it. Take the one applejack episode, The Last Roundup, for example. The story goes that Applejack fails to meet her expectations, then runs away from her friends and family, emotionally beating herself up over something so small, and her friends find and help her. When I first saw that episode, I seriously thought that there was a high possibility that Amy Keating Rogers (the writer) took the episode idea straight from a fanfiction.

Why? You can't really make a judgment on whether or not something is bad writing when you haven't actually seen it in full. Same way you couldn't say a song is bad without listening to it.

It might be wellwritten, humerous and whatever, but the idea, the concept, the decision to make twilight go into a portal so she can become a highschooler is just a stupid idea.

It wouldn't be like saying a song is bad without hearing it, it would be hearing a song has hoover synths, and everyone knows hoover synths sucks, and therefore I will criticise it for having them. This does not mean I cant enjoy the song, I'll just really be annoyed at the hoover synths.

I don't care if you are fine with the concept, what I do care about is your aggressive strawman based arguments. The concept between EQG and FiM are NOT analogous and it's fallacy to assume they are.

Ganondox, I'm going to be completely honest and tell you that nobody cares whether or not you think it's a bad concept. It's something different, and you are clearly not a fan of changes that you perceive with your narrow vision to be "bad". You're clearly not changing any opinions here and are just inciting arguments, so why don't you stop forcing your opinion into discussion about EQG. I saw you do that in one of Conchetup's music posts when it had no relevance to the song whatsoever. You just waltzed in there and gave a little review of the track, then posted a paragraph on why EQG is "a terrible idea". Nobody cares. Even if it does end up sucking, you're still not getting anything for predicting it.
