Becoming Popular (The Pony Everypony Should Know)

I'm in the midst of working on my first full-length album, so all my WIP pony projects have been temporarily set on the back burner.
However... when I heard this song debut in the episode this morning, I knew I had to cover it immediately. Plus Rarity is quickly rising up my favorite pony list, what with her wet manes and stuff. I ran into some speedbumps recording this, like a totally unanticipated key change that I didn't realize was there until an hour into recording. And trying to learn all the lyrics very quickly was hard.

Eight hours later, enjoy! This was lots of fun to do. I took some liberties with the arrangement to make it a tiny bit longer. Obviously, the instrumental for this won't be going up on Bandcamp or anywhere.

Thanks! I made a pact before Season 2 started that when a new song came out that clicked with me, I'd have to drop what I'm doing and write a cover immediately. I was up till 5am, but it was a blast

Guess I'd love it more if the original vocals were on your music (your voice is great its just hard to swap male for female vocals), otherwise that's my only drawback as the production is ace. Maybe an alternate version if you'd entertain that and want to put forth one. great job tho.
