<Pony><Dubstep><Original>Go to Bed

Postby brokenstringz » 04 Jun 2013 21:23

So, this is one of my first "official" songs. I have been making music for a while, but have not actually released anything.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Take this as advice from a professional:
The wub sounds are nowhere as important as the actual quality of the craft of the music. You need MASSIVE improvement on your composition/mixing quality and completeness.

I like the intro, but once the wubs hit, it gets really quiet and doesn't have the same feel as before the wubs. The dubstep part also seems to be really empty, like it doesn't have enough going on at once. I know it's a good thing to space out your instruments and stuff, but that's a little too spaced out.
I also agree with the post above. The mixing could be a lot better, and it seems like some instruments are louder than others in the dubstep part, which causes a bit of confusion for me.
Just my 2 cents! :D
Overall though, I like the feel of the song and just basically liked it in general :3

Are you using a master limiter maybe? That can down the quality of bassy sounds and drown out treble. I think this track is pretty nice though. The vocals blend nicely and aren't in your face. The wobbles could use a backup sound going on with them besides the drums. Maybe a slow pad or a piano. Also, your crashes and cymbals could be a bit better with the reverb. I don't think there was much at all. Try getting better samples for that. Overall, good job!
