I was under the impression that CircuitFry wanted the album out by no later than the 7th which is roughly 6 days from when submissions were closed off.

If you're talking about fund distribution, I was funded by Balloon Party last year, so I could probably give you some information. =]

Obviously, the funds are distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis. How the application went last year was you calculated the entire cost of your trip (travel, hotel, food, etc.), entered the amount of money you have saved right now (I think min. $200), and entered how much you need. Then they'll try to give you the money you need. If you needed, they also booked you a hotel room with other musicians who need one.

BP got a lot of money last year, so pretty much they paid for my hotel room! Don't think they'll get as much money this year, and I think funding will be different. I don't think Circuitfry has an official application out yet, so keep your eyes peeled. =]

But, it's at Baltimore, Maryland, USA August 2nd-4th this year.

And the entry fee I think is like (In USD) $70 for all 3 days or $45 for ONLY Friday, or ONLY Saturday

Now what I want to know about Rainbow & Rooted is whether critiques will be given in a "on-demand" basis, and for how long. From what I understand with Balloon Party, there were (as stated before) percentage scores. I don't want to assume too much about the judging process, but if the Google docs also had the respective judges for each songs, it might be useful for participants to ask the judges themselves (might be a pain for the judges as they will have a flood of inquiry about WAHH Y MY SONG NO GET ON R&R). When I asked Circuit last year about my percentage score, apparently the document containing it was deleted.

I'd love to ask Circuit himself, but with the ensuing piles of work placed upon him for the next few days (plus the whole business of releasing the album in 4 days...), I'd rather not.
