Haha, if it weren't for that "two days" my track would've never evolved to its current form.

I, for one, approve of such an extension, for I was an unintended beneficiary as a result of such.

Yeah haha. The extensions were the best things that ever happened to my song, and honestly If it werent for them, It would probably never even had a chance at getting on the album.

But really, I have terrible time management skills, and I have been getting ridiculously little sleep for ages. So last night (and most other times just before deadline) I was up till 3:30 trying to finish my song just in time, only to have it be bumped back and realize that it was pointless losing so much sleep over it.

Like I said, My entire perception of time is wack, and it really doesnt work. Months, weeks, days, hours, minutes- They all just seem to blur into one big thing that doesnt make any sense or move in the usual linear fashion it should. Like it feels like time skips hours and days just for the fun of it. For me, it legitimately feels like yesterday never actually happened

So finding out that its only been about two days extension is just kbgaqsjsfk;awjfh. It feels like it's been almost 3 weeks.

I'm going to make another delay, actually. Once again, it's because I had a plan and it fell through, and it also involves my nasty work schedule.

As of right now, the submissions are due in 4 hours. This is a silly time, I'd have to stay up all night just to wait for the entries to expire so that I could spend more hours posting them to the judges and boom no sleep before an 8 hour shift. I'm going way too hard on myself, I need to be well-rested to do this job. No, I could not have planned my schedule very much earlier in advance, for my work schedule goes by the week. I thought I could handle it, but like I said, some stuff fell through.

The judges are indeed going to need more time, looking at all of the entries. I wasn't planning on delaying the album release, but I think pushing the release date to June 7th would help ensure that the judges get the time they need.

Furthermore, for my sake of being rested, the submissions once more will get a final delay. The submissions are 100% finally due at midnight, tomorrow night. Meaning I have time to properly prepare myself for Rainbow & Rooted after coming home from work. I'm not going to change this schedule. This is the time I personally need and I can work with this kind of time.

I'm also going to ask for more judges. One of my failures is that I rang up as many judges as I could find. I need to carefully pick my judges and more clearly define the album's direction to the current ones (being a bit too harsh at the moment!) and also correct the current approach to how judging is being handled. This would also require time I will now use to set up properly. The judges are currently not diverse enough and are holding to a professional grade standard, which is not best for an album of fan music.

Judges I need:

• General-purpose judge
• Audience judges (non-musician judges that just add bonus points to a score)
• Judge for EDM (triple-check that)
• Judge for Rock/Punk Rock/Etc
• Judge for Orchestra / Composition

Wow, all these people who are pretty big in the fandom showing up (I-Pie, Dave!, Echelon, and umm...). Anyways, the thing I'm most paranoid about with this event is that somebody tells me my track was good enough to make it, but didn't because it's not pony, lol. I know that circuit did say in his introduction video to this event that they'll accept nonpony but prefer pony, so I guess that's where all my paranoia comes from.

All in all, I submitted my tracks a few days ago, and I'll be glad when all of these delays are over with and done. I'll probably just be waiting for it all to be done now.

While I'm probably not the absolute BEST judge ever, I could probably do this if absolutely nobody else can. Just throwing it out there for that "just in case" situation.

So glad this is coming to an end. Someone told me rumors of another extension but I'm glad those seem unfounded. Part of the challenge is making it by the deadline.

seriously, I just wanna note how utterly ridiculous these death-by-a-thousand-cuts postponements have been. By Faust's Mane, either stick w/ the original deadline or push it back a fortnight. Plz don't kill us with these last minute 24 hour extensions bro. Deadlines ain't a game when you need to schedule studio time to finish your track....
