Are you talking about the fact that I use extra notes in my chords? (E, F#,G#,B) Is that what you're talking about? Thank you for feedback.

No, the chords just sound... 'wrong'... to me. I can't really describe it; they sound like they're going out of key.

If I finish my track earlier than expected and you still need some help closer to the deadline Genkar, I'd be willing to give it a listen. I'm not amazing (and neither are my speakers :/ ) but I'd be able to give you some advice, maybe

I've been tripping over myself constantly trying to get this to sound good because I am a clumsy audio wizard. Could anyone please take a listen to this and tell me if it sounds good or if my ears are lying to me again? Can't trust em as far as you can throw em, those ears. I think that's what the phrase is.

For anyone interested, I'm trained in MS mastering techniques. If you've finished your track and want it to sound a bit more punchy, feel free to toss it to me and I'll spend some time mastering for you.

I'm interested, but obviously I need a track finished first...

Just a question. If I ~hypothetically~ had a rapper that might be rapping on a track I submit, are they allowed to swear or cuss on the track?

I would assume so, they had some explicit lyrics on Balloon Party, so I don't see why it'd be different for Rainbow and Rooted.

How long do you take for mastering a track, and how far in advance you do have to give the track to in order to have it guaranteed back by deadline?

//curious and way behind on schedule

It usually takes me an hour or so to master a track, depending on how complex the track is. I only check my PM's on MLR once or twice a day though, so you'd have to send it to me at least 24hrs before it needs to be submitted.

How long would a five minute song with in excess of 70 tracks take?

In layman's terms, MS mastering is taking the stereo L/R signal and cutting it up into pieces, making it sound better and then squishing back together and then adding some extra stuff to that final product. The amount of tracks don't really matter because I'm just working with a stereo channel. A 5min song would probably take me about an hour and a half max. :D

I can do mixing too, but as there's only a few days left for R&R submissions and my time is limited, I can't really help with that. If I was mixing for 70 channels it could take me a couple of weeks up to a few months depending on how anal I was being. :P

Just because I am a tad confused, when is the deadline? Looked in many places, but didn't find a conclusive answer anywhere.

That moment when my collab partner for R&R decides to quit prematurely because lack of inspiration and leaves me with a project file that is beyond messed up because of his 'mixing skills'.

FRUSTATION LEVELS UP HIGH. NO PROBLEM AT ALL, I'M NOT MAD. YOU CAN SEE THAT. RIGHT?!

Is it salvageable? Do either of you have access to the pre-'mixed' stems?

We don't have the pre-mixed stems, I'm not even gonna bother talking with Dyspro about it.
Right now I only have this messed-up version and an older project file that sounds good, but doesn't have much considering a lot of work was done after it (I used it for the teaser though).

I think the only option is to fix the mixing. A friend of mine promised to try his hand at restoring this work, hopefully I don't need to ask elsewhere.
