<pony><original> Party with Pinkamena

I kinda feel like attention seeker by immediatelly posting my "music" without giving off a proper introduction on the forum (if there isa topic for that). But, here:

The song is sort of EBM I guess, I have no idea what genre it fits, but I really liked the outcome and I feel proud that I managed to pull something like this out :3

I'm kinda new to music making (done some amateur stuff on FLS several years ago) and I don't know much music theory (slowly learning it), but I love the whole progress of creating art and music is also something I want to have a deeper specialization in, despite all the "artistic crisis" that is striking me sometimes.
I kinda know that some notes are off on the synth parts, but I'm still open to critique and some feedback. I wanna know if I'm on a good path

What software are you using? Since you're pretty new, and the synths sound pretty good, I'm wondering if you're using presets or just have a lot of practice with synths.

The dark little bassy pluck that starts at the beginning of the song is really repetitive, rarely stops and seems to never change. The melodies that join in seem to be random and makes it sound like you're listening to two different songs at the same time. The mixing could be better because there are parts where, say, a bassy synth will come in, but you can't really hear it well. The only riser you have is a reversed crash, which makes the song more boring to listen to than it already was, which brings up how you just switch from a lead to a bass to a lead, or something like that, in segments (so you'd play a lead synth pattern for x seconds, then switch over to a bass synth for x seconds and switch back to the lead), which makes the song boring and repetitive. The samples from the show that you've used are ok, they blend, but they could blend better (which is a surprise for a beginner, it usually takes quite some time practicing to get samples to blend well with a song). Overall, it definitely looks like you're on a good path, learning music theory and all. Also, the idea behind the title is kinda cliche, but that's just my knitpicking.

The synths were one of the things I had my doubt on thinking it was kinda too high pitched. I'm using FLS, I think this DAW is the most suitable and easier to use. And it was the first I was introduced to.
EDIT: Most of the synths were Nexus, I wanted to give it a try and I actually liked some of the presets. I do practise with other synths aswell, I'm trying to see what 3xOsc is capable of, but my level is low for now.

That pluck is kind of supposed to be a part of the drumbeat, even though they're on different patterns. I do realize though that it's kinda dull and I conformed it when I relistened to the part with low pass having my ears concetrated on the pluck.

It's mostly for a mood change, I like it that way since I can't really do much about it for now.

The thing is that I'm fan of dark and heavy music, also I'm fan of ambient and relaxing melanholic (sometimes music with depressing mood) music, that's why myself I listen to different genres from hip-hop to metal. Pinkamena is a good dark-themed subject for me to begin with, I like creepy stuff tbh.

I apreciate your feedback, I'll keep trying to improve myself :)
