I'm so much wondering if I'm going to make it; only, what, 10 days left? And I'm gone for 6 days uncapable of producing whatsoever. And after that only a few days in which my parents are probably gonna be all like "MAKE YOUR HOMEWORK (...)" (not that I'll have any chance of completing that either)... *sigh*

I feel for you somethin fierce man. The deadlines crept up way too quickly, and school is a major buzzkill when it comes to trying to music-ing. Wish I could just take a week off to work on my song, but schools all like "nah man, assignments! Essays!"... I don't think ill have time to find a singer let alone even do the vocals for it by myself (and im pretty sure my voice sucks last time I checked)...*sigh*. Wouldn't be surprised if I don't make duedate

I think I might not be able to enter as it looks right now, despite that I began working on stuff months ago. The song I've made so far is poorly EQ:ed and whatnot, and I also had to switch from my main pc to a laptop because of pc problems. I wish good luck to y'all out there participating! :3

Screw it, WIP drop. I streamlined to the track I'm most likely to finish in time to any standard that I'll be proud of. The other one can wait 'til post deadline -- shame really, the other one I was working on was a lot of fun. Then again, this way I can take my time on it, and it'll keep being a lot of fun, rather than becoming a chore. Unfortunately, being a large-ensemble orchestral thing there's lots going on, meaning this one's taking a long time. Hence the 'stops mid-phrase' thing I've got going on. I've written out the whole composition as a midi and now I'm about 70% of the way through arranging it. Then there's the mixing and EQing and sorting the dynamics out... who knows?

I was told to wait until after the album release to upload the Youtube video, but I can't continue on the sub form without providing a Youtube link. Can anyone clear this up? I'd appreciate it.

Also i found a method of how i could make music with this crappy I3 CPU

1. work on the song until it becomes dertorted
2. continue on it in another project file
3. continue step 2 until song is finished
4. when finished save the MIDI files of all the projects and transfer them to the original project
5. set up MIDI instruments and export sound

song finished in a crappy CPU

helps avoid system crashes

But i still need to finish my song

You can only see your entry in the list (I submited something like two weeks ago), and Circuitfry said that the youtube link isn't required, you can put whatever you want in the youtube link box (like http://nope.derpy). You just have to give a proper download link (such as dropbox or mediafire) to your track.

I just made a youtube video and have it as unlisted so that I could put a youtube link to the full song, but then it's not out there so nobody can see it unless I give the link. It also helps because then the judges can judge the song without needing to download it.

(Also, itroitnyah: I'm pretty sure the judges will actually download them. I've found that mine actually sounds better downloaded than on Dropbox.)
