The hugging/venting thread

Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

So a little vent.

Pinnacle Records released my song and stated that it would be available for purchase via bandcamp soon.
I never gave them permission to sell my song. I explicitly told them that I wanted it to be a free release.

They were intent on making money from my work without my permission and NO REGARDS for my intention for it.

UGH.

well you should contact them and tell them it breaks the terms that you agreed with thus giving them no permission to use the song if they break the terms

Oh, from a lot of your posts, I get the feeling some of you guys would benefit from some help with schoolwork. Tell you what, PM me and I can help you (to some extent, depending on what your curriculum is like) in most areas of maths, English, biology, chemistry, accounting, economics and physics (not so much physics) to a high school level. I do have tutoring experience and I placed quite highly in my state, so hopefully that'll be a bit of a help to anyone struggling.

As a final note, I've noticed a surprising number of you guys are from Melbourne, if you have any queries about VCE I'm more than happy to answer them. I'm on the Melb/Vic Bronies Facebook group as well, so I can give you more contact details via PM if you want to talk on Facebook. I WILL get Skype soon as well, so look out for that. Hope I can help you guys out a little :)

Alright, guys, I have a confession to make. This is a secret I've been hiding for a long time, and I don't want to shy away any more and live in a facade. Okay, here goes.....I only have one testicle. I wasn't born with just one, but one had to be removed back in 2010 thanks to Testicular Torsion. I kept this a secret for so long because I was embarrassed and felt like less of a man, literally. I just hope you guys don't see me as less of one because one of my fellas is AWOL. I'm sorry if this is a random post, but I don't want to hide any longer.

That's fine still does its prime purpose ;)
On that note... You all know how I'm pre-transition right? Well just pointing out my stuff doesn't actually function as it should... Due to an event that happened when I was in year 2

Pickslide bro don't worry about something like that! If that somehow makes you feel less manly, remember Lance Armstrong and all of the lovely things he did! He is definitely one of the most manly people even I he did dope. But seriously psychical attributes should not define who you are (and our good friend ACSII is living proof of that!) Seriously though its NBD. But what does AWOL mean

In other news I may be "asexual!" I don't feel annoyed by this one bit but I'm just posting it in this thread because people seem to talk about similar issues here.
I really hate these sorts of label things but I really am not interested in sex whatsoever. I do fall in love though, and since that's only happened once I'm not sure if I am "heteroromantic" or "panromantic" or whatever. Actually I am only 15 so I should probably just wait a while before determining things.

I don't ever want to restrict myself with labels, especially if its labeling something as important yet intangible as love... But the pressures... Everyone's like oh yeah I'm pansexual or demisexual and I'm like I dunno lol I like kittehs :3

So apparantly quite a bit of my school knows about my condition... This pisses me off so much because i just wanted to keep it on the low down until things got to 'that' stage...

I wouldn't worry too much about it. There's nothing you need to determine that's set in stone. People change the way they label their sexuality all the time. If "asexual" seems to fit you for now and you want to roll with it, why not roll with it? If things change later on, nobody's stopping you from changing your mind -- I kind of see myself as bi or pansexual or queer, depending on the context and how I'm feeling at the time, and I doubt it's something I'll have entirely figured about myself for quite a while, but those seem to fit for the time being. The point of labels like asexual and straight and panromantic and polysexual and gay and whatever else aren't to hem you in, they're to give you a place to work from, and to give you a vocabulary to describe a part of yourself for however long and in whatever situations you need it. Which of course means, if you don't want any of those labels at all, you don't have to use 'em. That's the way I see it anyway :)

Depends a lot on the context. I think it was originally an insult and the people it was used to describe kind of took it and made it their own.

Still used as an insult, and I personally find it rather amusing when people describe themselves as queer. Well, whatever; I don't have a problem with someone wanting to call themselves that. Maybe it's different over here in the US than it is for you in the UK though.
