Abstract goa stuff for your mind. Feedback is appreciated, as always.

This song seems like it's just waaaaaaay too long. It has neat, unique sounds and some cool effects, but there is definitely not 7 min worth of unique material.

Unless you are going for just a background beat to some kind of dance club.

Even still, it wouldn't hurt to chop it down a it, imo.

Also, the little breaks for the vocal samples seem kind of abrupt. I would have tried to lead in to them a bit more gently.

I don't usually respond to feedback in this way, but I encourage you to really go back and examine the structure of the track. There are 6 unique (admittedly minimalist) 16 bar themes, and only three of them are ever revisited (and two of them overlap to reveal a conversational structure when they do return). Aside from that, there are two 8 bar bridge phrases that are used to add flavor to the builds while the percussion are added progressively. That's actually a lot of stuff to pack into a 7 minute track. A lot of prog psy gets a whole lot more mileage out of fewer ideas.

I appreciate that you're trying to help, and I thank your for it. The length is definitely cultivated within a genre of lengthy tunes, though, so I think the feedback would be more appropriate if given in that context.

Sorry, I guess it's more of a problem I have with prog than the particular song. The nature in which patterns draw out because it takes a while to introduce all of the components makes it seem "too long" to my ears. I get kind of ADD when listening to music that has slow build ups and end up skipping around to track to find when it changes and miss the entire point of the structure. or whatever.

After another listen I was able to trace through the movements as you said, and it made more sense. I'll try to be more sensitive to the genre in the future!
