Right, so here's the deal, I've been working on a little something, in cahoots with Logic087, (Although he is bloody sneaky and won't show me what he's done).

Here's a teaser of my bit.

Melody is: Always black 2 by Brainkicker and Noisecontrollers.

-Nix :P

So... Where's the cake?

Gotta watch your mixing brotha, things are competing and the kick (the most important part in techno really) gets lost underneath your big synths and things.

I like the ideas, but it seems a bit disjointed becuase normally in techno the drums kinda just keep going, but becuase you have several different beats within this track it feels disconnected.

Try just doing a four on the floor and THEN mess with it subtly to provide variation but still having that rock-solid core. Also: turn everything down so you're driving your master compressor a little bit less. Turn up the snare as well, thing gets lost in everything else.

That's all the suggestions I have for now, please keep creating, you will improve with each track I guarantee!

PS: Listen to lots of techno/trance/etc artists and songs to get an idea of how they mix all of their stuff remember its easier to turn up from really quiet than it is to turn down from really loud, so keep that in mind when doing your mixing stuff.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll work on them now.
