<WIP><Alternative Rock>Fluttershy's Song

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I've been here!

I am taking on a new project and that is an Alternative Rock song. It's quite a turn from what I normally do, which is screaming, heavy guitar riffs and blast drumming.

The vocals have no effects added to them except for a weak compression and small EQ treble boost. The vocals are the main reason why I am here - I have no idea how to mix them or even record them right. Help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for listening and thanks your time

Sounds good!

Could bring the level of the vocals up a touch.
Maybe reduce the volume of the bass around 200-300Hz? just to help prevent it interfering with the vocals in that range.

I like the dryness of the vocals. makes it sound intimate.

What more are you thinking of doing with this song? It feels like it should have a bouncy, loud hook to go with it. Something with hard riffs and harmonized singing. And maybe be about a minute and a half longer than it currently is.

But for real, this guy's got the right idea with the bass. The vocals seem at a pretty good level to me, though.
