It sounds pretty solid for a foundation. It does get sounding kind of repetitive, but I really love what you did at 2:11 and out. I feel like it should get to that part a little sooner. But the biggest thing that sounds repetitive is the bass in the earlier part. It just makes things kinda feel boring after awhile. Also in the last section, the long held ambient instrument, to me it seems like it should change notes to reflect the chords as opposed to holding just the one note that entire time.
As for the idea behind it, I get what you're going for, but to me when I have too much on my mind, things aren't "structured" like they sound in this song, it's more scattered and confused feeling, slowly turning into organization when I finally get stuff sorted out and can (if ever) get to sleep. Though if it's just more for the "insomnia" aspect, it would accomplish that, as it's kinda droning feeling (not in a bad way) that insomnia does to you, where everything around you just begins to blur and you get that mlllarrrgggrhhh feeling. The vocoding sounds fine to me, though I've never really done anything with it, so I wouldn't be the best source there.
It has a great foundation already, maybe vary the bass up a bit/look for ways to make it less repetitive. Granted, I know it's progressive house and a bit of repetition does come with that, but even something as varying/adding more sounds in will help reduce the repetitive feel, I think. I'm excited to hear where you go with it!
