I don't like the idea of humanising ponies much, I like anthro, but full on human is stupid imo. So I think Equestria girls is kinda ruined forever.

I'm not at all fan of anthro, but I'm kinda starting to like the idea of humanized ponies. It has a reason: the Element of Magic gets stolen and thrown in the portal, and Twilight has to go in to get it back. In my opinion it's a bit of a weak story, especially the way how the second trailer illustrates that Twilight has to retrieve the Element of Magic.

If I was given the intro, up to the Element getting thrown into the portal, I would've make the story Fallout Equestria-ish xD because in my opinion, it makes a better story, with a bit more meaning.
Twilight would end up in a ghosttown. Perhaps humanized, I don't know, and I don't care. Spike wouldn't be suddenly at her side out of nowhere (that was by far the weakest part of the trailer for me).
The new dimension would be deserted, eternally covered in gray clouds.
In the end the others of the nane6 would start getting worried, as she hadn't returned in weeks (in which she had been survivaling).

That's where I got stuck. Boredom struck me and caused me to make no sense in my absolutely totally awesome storywriting.

I like your idea for a story. However, it does sound a bit "fan made". What gets me about fanfics is that usually people don't portray th characters right. They think that pinkie pie is only about partying and that rarity is only about fashion and that blah blah blah. People see only he most obvious part of each character, the most stereotyped thing about each character, and use that one thing as the entire personality of the character in the fanfic. They forget to include that fluttershy can be brave at times and is not 100% helpless. People forget that rainbowdash has a soft side when she needs to express it (sleepless in ponyville).

That's what gets me about fanfics is that the characters are northern characters, but entities with what we perceived from the real characters.
