Guitar pickups

Postby Acsii » 24 Mar 2013 18:37

Okay so there's plenty of guitarists on here, right?
But anyway I'm looking at getting some pickups for my strat...
The ones I'm looking at are either the EMG SLV-X set or the EMG SAV-X set
I like the sound of both but I wanna know your thoughts so I can then try and work out which ones I want...

Well what kind of music do you play? What kind of tone are you looking for?

yeah, what Cloud asked. If you're going to ask about buying a guitar pickup you should totes include what you're going to be using the guitar for. Are you going to build a sample pack that you want to sound a certain way? Playing a song that you want to sound a certain way? I hardly know anything at all about guitars, so I obviously can't help you, but Cloud or Ed Viper most likely can. Viper plays guitar, right? He just really seems like the type of person who plays the guitar... Although there are probably plenty of others here who can help.

Alright I've decided I'm gonna get the SAV-X set because they have more vintage and traditional sound :3
