Need help replicating some sort of EQ:ed snare sound

Postby KvackPack » 23 Mar 2013 07:52

Hello there! :3

I recently heard Archie and Tombstone's song "Hush" and it has been stuck in my head for a while. There is some sort of bass snare sound in the beginning of the track that I really want to replicate and use in my own songs, but I can't get it right. I'm a newbie to sound design that's probably why it doesn't work very well.

You'll probably know what I mean when you hear the song.
Help is appreciated! :)

Do you mean the tom? Because there isn't a snare at the beginning of Hush, there's a tom, clap, and a kick that starts a bit later in.

Haha, alright

Well, find a good tom sample or two and then probably boost about 2-4dB in the 200-300Hz range, that should help somewhat
