Yes, I tried to use the search function to look at past posts. It couldn't precisely answer my question though.
I'm looking to buy an audio interface online, and I have about $150. I was all amped up and excited to get the Fast Track C400 since I finally got my money together, but when I look at it now... it's like $250+. ._.
Right now I'm looking at the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2. The pricing feels nice, and it seems to be a reputable audio interface. Maybe I should try to wait for the C400 to have a price drop to about $150? It's precisely what I want if it was at the price, except I'm not sure why the price is as high as the C600. Perhaps there's a shortage in supply? What should I do? Try to see if there's a price drop back to ~$150 USD? Or perhaps I should try to save up to just grab the C600 or something else at that price range? Or should I just grab the 2i2 and be done?
Some factual information to be sure I provided enough stuff:
I use Windows 7 on a decently powerful desktop. I'm aiming to make electronic music, and I don't plan to record too much. I kinda want MIDI but I really have no use for inputs currently (until I expand).
I really like the sleek black look of the new Fast Track interfaces...
