<WIP><Pony><Original> Destroy Her

Postby Genkar » 12 Jan 2013 09:43

This was a WIP that I started a while ago, but I really don't know where to go from here, or if it's worth continuing, so if anyone could leave feedback for me, it would be great! Thanks! :D

The snare is weak and I can only barely hear the kick. You need to work on mixing those better. Try lowering the volume of the bass and lead so that you can hear them better, or increasing the volume of both, or even sidechaining them

Ah yeah, I hear that now. I haven't done much EQing or played with the levels yet, so I'll definitely get to that, thanks!

I'll echo what itroitnyah said, the drums need a lot of work, and your lead sounded a little piercing to me, of that makes any sense. But it's definitely got the potential to become a good, finished song if you keep working on it!

Yeah, I worked on the drums a bit, and they sound a bit better now, I'll probably do a bit more with it later.
I think I know what you mean by the lead too, so I can definitely fix that. Thanks for the help. :D

/seconds everything the others said
Also, the volume of the lead is inconsistent - when it's alone at the start, it sounds (and looks!) like it's taking up all your headroom, but then drops away when the rest of the track comes in. I'd turn it down at the start to match those bits up.
