Spent about 8 straight hours writing parts for the song. Then I had to leave for a week. Brought my laptop and headphones with me. Kept working on it when I was away. Mainly playing with the synths and messing with the arrangement. If I'd been at home with access to my keyboard I probably would've written more parts, but by the time I got home I'd listened to it so many times that I hated it. So when I got home I just mastered it (with headphones, which is like trying to polish a turd) then uploaded it.

I like this. It's a good concept, but you could make some small changes here and there. Also, as a huge fan of pianos in electronic in songs I love your work with the piano, even though you could make it more "human".

I'll start of with the piano: I'm hearing some thumps in the low end of the piano, try to high pass (Around 60-100 hZ) it to get rid of it. As I said earlier, try to make it more "human" (mess around with velocities and put some of the notes ever so slightly off tempo, etc).

Now over to the drums, they seem a bit buried in the mix. Try to make them stand out more by making them louder compared to the rest of the mix (Tip: Most of the time it's better to lower the volume on everything else to get some extra headroom), and maybe even sidechain everything else to the kick/snare. Something else I also noticed was that the snare is quite weak, try layering it with an other snare that has more mids or just get a totally new snare.

The rest of the song seems good, but you could try to add some extra things to spice it up, like a little bell sound playing some notes every 8th bar or something.

The chords do have different velocities, and the other parts were actually played by me. But I quantised it, so the chords do seem very mechanic.

Yeah I didn't do too much to the piano, I just added some reverb then maximised and equalised it. I really could've done more with it but I was too lazy.

The drums were turned louder than everything else in the mix, although I might've turned the compression threshold a bit too high to something. I'm pretty bad at mastering. A few things were side-chained to the kick, but nothing to the snare. The drums were layered, the kick consisted of two samples and so did the snare but it did sound kinda weak.

I added a high pitched bell sound, but it mainly follows the piano parts. As I said I would've written more parts but I didn't have my keyboard with me and I was pretty pressed for time when I was away.

sounds real cool! the biggest thing i would recommend is that you would break up the piano a bit. not necessarily humanise it but break up the chords and play several single notes in a row. like an arpeggio.

but it actually sounds rather nice! :D
