Forgot to post this here. And my metal cover of the same track, too. I've been slacking.

I made this after Corralfur sent me that vocal performance for my metal cover. Her vocals didn't fit as well as the vocals from the show for that track, so I ended up using Corralfur's vocals for this instead. Can't let a good performance like that go to waste, right?

Anyway, enjoy.

This is rather enjoyable; nice work from the both of you! I'm not completely without complaints though. I can tell she has a wonderful voice, but the vocals sound a bit uncomfortable. I can't speak about the specifics because I don't know the recording situation, but she should relax and get into the music more (though I suppose when taking pre-recorded vocals and writing something different to put them in, it's difficult to apply that concept).

On your end, I felt the writing was a tad static. I understand the effect of repetition, and you don't want to go too crazy, but maybe a little embellishment here and there or something to change it up as the song moves along. I was also hoping that something would happen when you get to "at home at the opera, on a fancy yacht..." To me that's songwriting 101: some kind of big climax before you arrive at your resolution (that next section where it all kind of slows down).

If these are all personal, stylistic choices, don't let me tell you how to express yourself. While I wouldn't necessarily consider it a matter of taste, I understand that unconventional methods are often used by choice rather than in ignorance. I do enjoy this arrangement and performance; I just feel a few changes can be made.

They're not. Just laziness and fatigue on my part. If it hadn't been an all-nighter, I probably would have varied up the guitar work in that verse quite a bit more, but about halfway through recording, this turned into one of those tracks where I really just wanted to hurry up and get it done.

Curse of a backlog and all that.
