EKS-9 is very good but it's preferred a simple 909 is best. Camelphat3 and ohmicide are good for distortion.

For a lead. Use a detuned saw. Avoid nexus presets nexus is easy to point out. Any supersaw will work and it dosent hurt to experiment. With me. I use Sylenth 1. A custom preset. Oscillators set to a saw. All 4. Add detune and fine pitch theme. Reverb and delay are also nice but don't overkill it.

Apparently Hydra or whatever is good for synthesizing kicks, but I just use samples of a 909 and distort them, or use acoustic/vinyl samples...
