What is it?
The aim is for each individual to create a song dedicated to season 3, episodes 1 & 2, once their released but also before the release of the third episode.

Note: This is a free album.

What is the goal of this album?
To celebrating the release of season three and showing the community that brony musicians are very much alive and up-to-date with the show itself!

Rules & Guidelines:

1. Maximum length of your song is 6 minutes, I'll allow a couple seconds over but try to keep it below the 6 minute line.

2. Your submission has to be either a song with a direct sample from the episode inserted into a song, a song with original lyrics written about the themes that run through the episode.

3. If you create music without lyrics or samples from the show, just add a short description as to how it's connected to the episode when you send in your submission.

4. If your song is a cover of one of the songs from the show (this is allowed) please make sure to label your entry correctly. [ie. "Smile (Personname Remix)" ]

5. Any genre of music is allowed.

4. Be creative, be unique, think out of the square.

5. You can submit multiple entries.

6. Think quality over quantity. I'd rather get an awesome 2 minute piece than a stretched boring 5 minute piece.

7. Quality control will be minimum as to allow everyone to participate, however in the unlikly event that your song doesn't make the quality standard when you submit, assuming there's time before the deadline, we'll let you know so you can revise your piece.

I don't think there'll be much if any quality control. But at the moment there really hasn't been enough people show interest in it.

How so?
Rather, what guide lines would you set for those of us who only do instrumental, not vocal, pieces.

Thats kinda hard to say, if your not using vocals or samples. I guess it'd be case by case, but if you can give a short description of how the episode inspired you to make that music it'd be fine, along with perhaps a comprehensive title? Like I said, I'll take it case by case.

Any tips on how to get the audio for the episodes resonabley fast?

Once it's uploaded to youtube if you just copy the link and type into google 'Youtube to mp3 converter' you'll get a heap of websites that'll give you the mp3 for the vid.

Yeah, does anyone want to collaborate for this one? I've got an over abundance of time that week, and an incredibly fast workflow. :3

Stickthefigure, you could always remix one of the background tracks from the episode if you're not keen on using vocals. ^^

Err... are you guys aware of the fact that the first and second episodes air on the same day?
'cause I don't see how this is physically possible:

TL;DR Make a song about the first episode of season 3, get the song into me by the day before the release of episode 2.

Oh I forgot to edit that part, I just wanted to get enough interest to make the album (the 6 people to help out) but we've got that now. I look forward to hearing what you all come up with.
