Navy Brony's Art n' Stuff

Postby Navron » 16 Jun 2012 23:37

I've been using Photoshop for many, many years, so I've got a few tricks of the trade when it comes from turning sketches into vectors into finished pieces.

Haven't done much MLP work, so here's one of my firsts:

This was the final picture that I used the above drawing for:

Everything hand drawn with the exception of the background, which is a nice shot of the Djibouti desert taken on a flight.

It sounds wrong, but i find her completely horrified expression hilarious and adorable :3 It's like someone put her in the plane against her will.

Doesn't sound wrong at all, considering that's the exact expression I was aiming for XD.

Got bored on my 12 hour watch during a recent boat detachment, so I decided to draw my persona wearing SAR gear (example photo: http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3563/3327 ... 6434_b.jpg)

Next picture will be a link only since it falls under the, "saucy" category, and many people take them at face value.

Applejack Being Applejack

Bonus props if you can analyze the image and find the meaning/saying behind it. Makkon, you might get this one.

And before anybody recalls comments I've made in the past, let me clear one thing up. I dislike saucy art and pictures that have a singular purpose behind them, but I can appreciate saucy art that has a story to it.

Think of it like, artistic nude vs porn. One has a story, message, or another artistic quality to it, and the other is made for a single purpose.
