Seriously though, Hey everybody. Name's Caine the Doombringer. I'm new to mylittleremix, if you haven't already figured that out, and generally new to the brony music game altogether. I came to you today because I'd like some input on a song that I submitted to youtube about a week ago. It garnered some minor success, and I was fortunate enough to land a feature on EqD, but I came here mostly because this is a forum that specializes in music, so I could probably get some good constructive criticism from you guys.

What I'm looking for mostly is tips on mastering; something that I haven't quite...well mastered, for lack of a better way to put it. I'll be working on a full album in a little while, so I want to improve on that as much as possible, so that my album can sound as good as possible.

Yes, I'm aware of the "Seeds of Kindness" Charity album. This has no relation to that. It just felt like a fitting title, considering the lyrics.

Unfortunately, I myself am no master of mastering, but I had to say that your song is pretty sweet! Awesome voice, great guitar and drum work, a very refreshing change from all of the electronic stuff that's posted on here The one thing I could say is that this song sounds very bass heavy, and that you should EQ some of the lower frequencies out of some tracks. Like there might be some super low, inaudible frequencies in the (insert instrument track here) that muddy up the whole song, so try some high pass filters. That's about all I can offer you :/ Good luck and nice song!

The song sounds great. But I do agree, it could use some eq-ing. Also, Am I the only one who instantly heard this song during the verses? Seemed pretty similar to me.

I record everything onto FL Studio 10. I'll admit I don't have the best audio interface out there, so I'm usually stuck with annoying background fuzz, but my mic's not bad.

As for EQing/mastering, oh dear god, I don't know what the hell I'm doing. XD I usually just fiddle with the knobs until I think it sounds right. It's funny, I know my composition, but when it comes down to the producing aspect of things, mastering/eqing/all things sound-quality oriented, I'm totally lost. Help?

for guitar recording I use cubase, but I'll try to redo my e-guitar clean channel in fl studio and make some screenshots... maybe it'll give you a startpont...

but I can't guarantee that I'm a help..I'm not that good at this,too
