This is going to be my entry for Toast Beard ZIQ41. It still needs some work, but I like it so far.

Edit: ...and here's the full version.

Let's see...

Sunday 7/1
I'm going to release my 3rd video which is just the extended Love is in Bloom song with 8-bars of rap over it.

Ever since I watched the Season 2 Finale, I really enjoyed that song, and it felt natural to write a verse over it. So, that's gonna happen!

I'm working with colortwelve on a remix of a remix of a remix... Pinkie's Brew... which was on Friendship is Witchcraft, was then remixed into a Gypsy Russian Jazz version... and Colortwelve has kindly converted that into a rappable remix. So depending on how that turns out, I may need help with someone keen on video editing.

Someone on Youtube did a 'Drop It Like It's Hot' remix over 'Giggle at the Ghosties' which I loved, but the best part wasn't Snoop rapping over the original instrumental, it was Pinkie singing on the 'Drop It Like It's Hot' track. I thought it was only fair to take THAT version and write up a verse on it.

Lastly, I'm going over a Living Tombstone beat that I really like. It's the "Been Dreaming" remix that he did with Mic The Microphone. Not taking away anything on Mic's verse, I just thought I could add my own two bits on it.

As always I'm always happy to work with anyone who wants to make a beat and collaborate on a concept.

The secret to great writing is constantly doing it.

Currently working on... get this... vocal song :D It's about Spitfire. I just got down the verse/bridge/chorus. I rarely get ideas out of nowhere, especially at 4 in the morning. I almost ignored it and went to bed! I'm loving it. I can't wait to put it in FL and work out the lyrics later.

I'm working on my friend's "Christmas present".
Pretty much, it's a christmas dubstep album, He was looking for Christmas dubstep last year and never found any that He liked, and since he usually likes my stuff, I'm gonna make Album of hopefully 10+ songs.

Well, I'm very new here, and given my general dark theme of compositions with my projects, I've been stumped on how to approach the brony community with any of my work.

Then the changelings and their glorious Queen came along.

I'm working on a whimsical tune called the Changeling Boogie in which I am combining elements of swing jazz and black metal. It's all laid out as a skeleton track, so it's just a matter of getting my rear end into the studio and putting the proper guitar layers, keyboards, and frills into it.

I'm not used to posting in forums at all, so I'm not sure if this is going to be poor form, but I invite everyone to check out my many various, non-pony compositions in the meantime!

Well, I should be working on a liquid dubstep something using samples from Pinkie's singing telegram (don't really wanna call it a remix) for the TB Birthday compo... What I'm actually doing is not working.

Given up on this because I have no idea what to do with it. Now I'm just doing some non-pony dubstep.

Well, I'm not ready to take a break yet. I just finished a marathon mashup entry for the Toastbeard birthday compo, am about to start another for the Ziq theme, and farther out I have designs on an acoustic cover of Wooden Toaster classic "Beyond Her Garden" - plus I'm collabing on several Secret Projects over the summer. I'm writing yet another Luna song, and I'm finishing an early Scarlett Peace remix. I'm living on much less sleep and loving every moment of it.

for 1 Year of Toast Beard, i had the crazy idea:

"What if for the bday compo....I sampled EVERY ZIQ compo winner, 1 through 40. Make each one into its own different beat, then line them all up chronologically. Ooh, and no cheating - for ZIQs with 4 way ties in first place, I have to COMBINE THEM ALL into the beat!"

and i just

finally

finished it

......

*exhales*

16 minutes, 46 seconds long

i actually recorded myself beatboxing for it, i never do that <_<
