Not my best one but one of my best

So tell me how it is, I've taken the challenge from myself to see if I can make a 6 minute song.
Apparently with me, the youtube link isn't working so just put it in the search bar or something

I think embeds only work with the base url (everything before the "&")
Anyway, here you go!

I'm not a huge listener of non-ambient pure electronic instrumental, so I don't know how accurate my opinion is.
First off, it sounds kinda unpolished. Parts sound off-beat and aren't all that well mixed. As a whole it also sounded a little disjointed; I didn't get a good feel for where you were going with the whole thing. On the other hand you had a solid riff and stuck with it through the song (even though you could've used a little more variation with it)

A solid effort, but a lot that could be improved. That's just my opinion, though, and I really don't want to sound like I'm just complaining, so just so you know, I liked it overall :)

EDIT: embed doesn't seem to be working for me either, so now I don't know what's wrong with that. Oh well :P

Thanks for the feedback, but can you tell more about the mixing area that isn't working out

Embed fixed for you. (if it says "https://" you have to remove the "s" for it to embed :D)

Now, my feedback:

To be quite honest, I like the riff you've got going here, but I'm not sure I like the lead synth. It's a bit too distorted for my taste. The tempo changes, while a good idea, are a bit sporadic and not well-timed (heheh... music puns). I'm not a big fan of the drums either. Take a look around and see if you can find some free drum sample packs (or perhaps just switch them with some better ones, if you've already downloaded some). The ones you have in the song now sound a bit muddy.

You also have maybe too many ideas in one song. I can see you making at least two, maybe three different songs with what you have here.

As for the mixing, just open up a few EQ panels on the synths and sounds you have and cut out the frequencies you don't want. That'll likely help a lot with the distortion. I think there are some mixing tutorials in this thread. You should check 'em out.

I am a big fan of anything boondocks-related though. Keep that up for sure.

Thanks for the feedback and about the mixing.
I'm not a big fan of the drums either.
I didn't like most of the drum samples I've ever used but I was in dilemna to use these drums with the ones I liked. I was thinking that these drums were going to work better but I found out in a very late time that they don't work.

Here, download these.

It's 1,000 free drum samples and they're pretty awesome. I've started using them and my work overall sounds better because of it.

They haven't quite worked on mixcraft yet, I've had other types of samples working but these don't seem to work.
