<nonpony> <WIP> Gangplank Song

Postby Ed Viper » 09 Jun 2012 15:23

Yeah so, I was hoping to make a song with Gangplank (from League of Legends) vocal clips in it, and I have this (REALLY long) intro, but I just don't know where to go with it or if I should even continue this project.

Any ideas? Tips? Suggestions?

EDIT: Most recent version is in my latest post.

The vocal clips work well, and it'll be interesting to see where it goes (if you continue it), but right now it seems kinda empty and it's hard to tell where you're going with it (maybe that's the point?).
Will the rest of it be an upbeat pirate-like tune or an continue to be an ambient track? Or it'll maybe go into a more electronica-esque direction and possibly even end up as dubstep?
In other words, I'm not sure what would be a good choice for the rest of the song as there's too little to go on.
Looks promising though! :D

It will now  Why the hell did I not think of that?

EDIT: I was gonna do this, but I stumbled upon an awesome melody that I could use for like a happycore song. I think that's what I'll do haha.

Okay, I'm not really sure what to call this, but for now it's happy hardcore. I know the transition/build thing is lacking/non-existent, but I'm working on it.

That next part sounds pretty good, but it would be nice if you flesh it out a little more with additional, non-synth instruments. Maybe a flute or piano?

I'm pretty sure he's gonna use flute, it's more "piratey" than piano

The question is, where can we get the flute samples? Are there presets? Soundfonts?
