I've had this thing in progress for the last few weeks. Yes, I write slowly, but I get loads of ideas coming to me at the same time once I start. My mind just works like that.
It's definitely not perfect, grammar/syntax/progression-wise, but I'm fairly pleased with the results of my labour so far. I'll go over the chapters with a very fine comb once the whole thing is done.
Oh yeah and this thing is chock-full of references to obscure British sitcoms and progressive rock lyrics. You'll never find them all. NEVER.
