Not going to lie, I have a good feeling about this. And that's strange because I usually cringe when projects like this are brought up. What are your thoughts?

Wow, this looks like it's going to be really good! Considering there's already $14,000 pledged to this project, it seems that it will get funded.

Also, John de Lancie. If he's part of it, I definitely have high hopes for this, and it looks like it's going to be professionally made, not some random clips from Bronycon thrown together and being called a "documentary".

Overall, I also have a good feeling about this, and it's also another reason for me to look forward to Bronycon!

I would never put my own money to the project, I see it as a waste of money as there is plenty of other things more worthwhile to me. Thats said I do like the idea and because John de Lancie is Producing rather some young guy in an arts school I believe it will be a great documentary. I heard somewhere that John said that he was goind to make it because of the poor way the community gets treated by many news groups.

Like what has been said I too have good feelings about this but would not support it financially.

What are my thoughts?

I hope he does a segment on the musicians that will be there.

I like the way that this project is, in existence to begin with.

Let's take a look at the furry fandom for a second.

The original furry fandom didn't have such a negative stigma surrounding it, and surprisingly, IIRC the furry fandom was pretty much smashed by the media at one of the earlier anthrocons, where reporters and news stations basically painted the fandom in the most negative and creepiest light imaginable, which still influences its PR to this day.

Most bronies I know tend to go by the, love and tolerate example, so they simply ignore biased news segments against us.

To be honest though, each and every negative news segment does more harm than people may realize, so I actually see 2 benefits from this project:

1. This documentary seems focused on showing only the creative and respectable aspects of the fandom.
2. If these guys are doing a professional documentary at BC, that means less room for the other news stations that may show up, trying to paint us in a negative light.

The only thing I'm unsure about with this project is reach. How will it be shown?

That's a good point. I'm curious as to how they'll get this out there. If they put it on the internet, I feel like only bronies would watch it :/ But with John's reputation and the apparently decent-sized budget I'm sure they'll figure out something.

Overall, I think it's good news, and could turn out to be a great documentary. I'll be keeping my eye out for this one.

I just hope John narrates it.

The rate at which donations are coming in... man, that's scary.

That said, I do fully support this project. I have faith in John de Lancie.
