I guess I should do one of these.

Hey, I'm rainbow_rage, 19 year old working for the Canadian Forces.

I've been playing the Trumpet for about 10 years now and have done pretty much everything I can do with it without going into music as a career (which I have no intention of, it's more of a hobby for me). I've also gotten decently competent on most Brass instruments (they're all pretty similar anyway). I can do anything genre wise, but I prefer Jazz, Blues, Funk and similar/derivative types. I recently started learning digital music so I can actually make complete compositions on my own and do it from my dorm room.

I not too sure what type of music I'll end up making, but I think it will mostly be Funk and Blues Funk and whatever the hell else I feel like.

Suppose I should register here so I look a bit more serious =P

I'm 17, from England and going off to University in a couple of months. The only musical experience I have had was piano lessons around 9 years ago, and I didn't do much since then. I still have the full keyboard lying around somewhere but when I found out about digital music It was irresistible. I've been trying to make something decent since the start of the new year and largely failed, but I'm not easily discouraged =P

I don't think you can get more serious than that! Lol!

Hmmm, haven't done one yet, so...

Hey everyone,

I'm Matt if you haven't guessed yet. I'm 22 and am studying English at a local university; first year of MA studies. I live in Poland and I hate my home country. I am interested in astronomy, WW2, Sci-Fi (I am a huuuuge fan of Stargate franchise) and I used to be a hardcore gamer. Nowadays I am devoting most of my time on studying and producing music as a hobby, and from not so long ago - MLP-related stuff.

As for the music, my favourite genres are progressive / trance. As much as I love listening to dubstep using my personal bass cannon, I suck at programming cool wubs. I've been playing around with FL while it was still named just Fruity Loops (from 2003), but I started to take the thing a little bit more seriously about 2 years ago, spending more time on reading guides, tutorials and long hours playing with VSTs.

I still use FL and I don't think I'll ever switch to more professional sw, as I don't really see myself as a pro musician in the future... though I would love to become one more than anything else.

Currently already working on a collab, but I am always up for one.

Hello I´m Herr Pony, and I´m new here...well duh of course. I usually dont do pony stuff because I´m quite occupied with several non-pony projects (mostly singing for bands or musical groups), but I´ve been a brony for about a year now and every time I see somepony who made a great song I feel useless. So might as well try to get on the bandwagon that is already overloaded.

Um, hi.

I go by Element6, referring to the element of magic, because Twilight Sparkle is my favorite pony.

Some basic facts about me:

- I've never posted on a forum, well, before now.
- I'm pretty much as timid as Fluttershy around people I don't know well.
- Despite my timidity, I'm very interested in becoming more involved in the brony community.
- I'm currently a high school student.
- I've only been in music making for maybe half a year.
- I use FL Studio 10.

Hopefully I'm doing everything right. I look forward to learning more about music, and I hope to one day make songs that are enjoyable.

It's certainly good to keep an open mind, so experimenting with genres can only be a positive. I would think so, anyway. I'm too new to really even have a "type" or anything, I just sort of make whatever I can. It's nice to meet you though, I've subscribed to you on YouTube after listening to a couple songs and enjoying them. Good luck with your current project!

Postby Shenko » 12 May 2012 12:32

I tend to call myself Shenko, though sometimes I also call myself Proxyclaw. Here is a list:
  • I'm about 17 and even I am amazed that I have made it that far
  • I have been a brony since January 2011
  • I fell asleep while typing this this and woke up 13 hours later
  • Favorites are Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash (in that order)
  • I have Acid Pro 7, working on getting Ableton Live 8
  • Always assume I know nothing
  • I'd like to make house and dubstep. I'm pretty sure I would be awful at dubstep though, so lets stick with house

Hello. I'm Kenneth, and as for any Pony-related stuff, I am going by Kenneth Invictus. I am hoping to have fun on this site, and maybe even make decent music.

Things to note:

Favorite Pony: Twilight Sparkle
Favorite Episode: Lesson Zero
I use Audacity, and am a total newb.
I am sure I'm not mentally stable, but I'm a really fun person.

Well, that's it. See you all around
