<Pony><WIP><Original> Dreams & Ambition

Now, I tagged this as Pony, but that's really just a door-holder. I planned on having some CMC lines in here from the show, but creative process took over and I forgot to even put any in. Now with this song coming in nicely, it feels like I'm cheating by slapping in pony after the fact. I know there's some grumbling that songs without lyrics or quotes can't be considered pony, but adding them in ex post facto seems... Unethical. I'm still undecided whether to or not.

Anyways, here's a WIP Progressive House track in my best aural manifestation of Dreams and Ambition. Due to it's WIP status, it is currently unmastered, and therefore you'll probably have to turn up your volume accordingly. And the outro hasn't been dealt with fully (chopped it off in this version)...

Please, tear this apart. Is the snare too intimidating, the kick too weak, the melody change too much, etc, etc... I mean, what's the point of posting a WIP without wanting a ton of criticism?

- The kick is really weak
- I don't like the clap panned slightly to the left (it creates unbalance)
- The two main synths (lead and bass) are really muddy in the low end
- 2:08 gets really muddy when you bring in that noise sweep
- The hats are unnoiticeable, I didn't hear them until my second listen
- The tape stop effects don't fit well with the track

It needs a lot of EQing on every track.
The melodies and synthesis are great for prog house.
