<WIP> The Theme of Fan-filly Dashie (not real title)

Postby MiuMiuChuu » 26 Apr 2012 20:59

Since my keyboard is still broken and don't have access to it until late of May, "Manehattan Nights" has to stay on the shelf.

So I'm gonna take an old original song of mine and ponify it.

- I'm still thinking about title
- Brass: Annoying? Needs to be fixed? Not necessary at all? Too treble? :/ (yes, I haven't soften up the transitions as well)
- Vocals are just test on how the song will sound with em. Some are in the wrong effect and I don't sing it like the way it should here. I need to bold up a little bit and discard falsettos for main vocals to set it up to RD's character
- Which leads to the question; is this RD enough? I was thinking of an airy, glide-y, yet dreamy. But I'm afraid it becomes Fluttershy instead.
- And as usual, my elaborate one man chorus hasn't been put up yet

(I think of it too much ;-;)

Usually when I think of RD, my mind instantly goes to guitars (It's her leitmotif, after all), but some people would say it's cliche. However, I feel it'd work here, but just don't make it the forefront. I'd do some swells to give it a stringy, almost violin-like sound in certain parts. The key is to let it accompany the song, not overpower it.

That's just my suggestion to make it more Rainbow Dashy, instead of sounding Fluttershy inspired.
