It's so very well done, has an impeccable theme and great singing. It's very phantom of the opera, evil genius of chaos sounding. Perfectly fitting to Discord. I love how "screwball's" singing has some sort of filter sound to it because it makes it seem distant or "oldish.." I dunno if that means anything to you, haha.
The only real problem in it is some clipping/volume issues along with muddy sounding lows that get mixed in, primarily when the booming kick drum comes in. And around 4:23, the music somewhat over powers the talking part, making it hard to understand slightly. It's really excellent though, aside from some EQing and whatnot.. And I don't have much else to say beyond that, I really enjoy it and it's super catchy, both lyrically and musically. It's pulling emotionally in an odd way, because part of me thinks, aww she missed her daddy and it's kinda cute/sad. But then there's the whole, ohwait he's the embodiment of chaos... Hrm... So it leaves room for emotional interpretation. Excellent work to all those involved!
Thanks! I think that "filter" effect on Screwball's voice can be chalked up to sub average quality of Simina's microphone. The only thing I really added was a "Smoothing" effect and apply chorus and reverb.
Unfortunately, I could never really fix the low end clipping with the kick drum. I had enough problems with the concert bass drum causing the entire song to stutter and the Church Organ vst was powerful enough to not only eat up half my CPU (literally) but clip itself in the process. The vocals parts were also on the verge of clipping at points and I had to fiddle with volume envelopes and stuff. Interestingly, I found the best way to hear the talking bit towards the end is to actually turn down the volume a bit.
