I'm working on a track I started before xmas, as you may notice by the filename. It was early on repurpoused to be my contribution to Derpys Wings.
This is what procrastination looks like :I

Anyone else like doing stuff like this? Hideing "subliminal messages" in tracks like this?

I want that skin/wallpaper Flaf :O
And I don't see how your picture contains a hidden message, but I use them in my music all the time. People like Lazer Vision though, they're just scary with their hidden messages in tracks (which are often explained on their SoundCloud descriptions).

And I'm currently working on my first ever Xalpheon collab (first ever makes it sound so energetic and young ^-^ ), with my friend Dion Dash :O
https://soundcloud.com/diondash/dion-da ... le/s-tH7Lu

I'm soooooooo damn proud of it already! We hope to finish it wednesday, so I can play it at the Noisj gig this friday.

Oh and uh. It's loosely inspired by Syene - Lunatic (if you know that track already I'll give you a fucking medal).

Here ya go.
I can see why you wouldn't call it a hidden message... since it doesn't have anny real meaningfull information to convay. If we get technical though, it is visual information hidden in audio, and a message is technicly just information... So it's technicly a hidden message... It's fun to do annyway

Anyway... what am I working on... vectors... and not the fun, artsy kind of vectors. The mathsy, complicated, give-up-now kind of vectors.
Because it was so horrible and physicly painfull to do that I made a desperate attempt to do something else, leading to this. A schematic of a PWM based amplifier... Could also be used an interesting sounding bitcrusher thing...

I love the first one, try a little more reverb on the choir.

Only spent a few days on this; I'll probably go back to it later.
Also I couldn't get a real acapella of the song so I had to use the actual track from Parry Gripp to use as vocals.
Nice.

Lots of electronic tracks, all pretty much at once, for an amateurish debut 'album'...sorta. It would help if I had a condenser mic but money is too tight unfortunately. I can't keep a MacBook Pro with OSX Lion running too long from now, so those projects need to get out the way quickly.

Well, not actually music (except for inside my head which developed another two new ideas just this week), but:

Tearing down my bedroom setup, hoovering the floor for the first time in years, putting everything back together including the stuff that I haven't included yet, get the sample libraries going that I've acquired over the last couple of months years...

Next up my list are the odd "get known, get myself a reputation" song because I have to start with something at some point — and the requested* danceable stuff for the GalaCon gala ball because dear Princess Celestia, I've learned that I'm probably the only brony who can pull that off.

*Yep, I get requests although almost nopony has ever heard me make any music yet.

A couple of constructive criticisms, please roll off the high end on the master, and learn how to use a de-esser on the vocals, as the sibilance is really bad.

Thanks for the advice, as I have only been working on this remix for about 2 hours and I will be doing alot more with it and I will most definitely take your advice. :)

I've had a plan to do stuff live from the beginning, but then I realised that the way I do stuff would require a full band on stage of instruments that are not 'conventional'

I've been working on university projects. A couple weeks back I recorded a small orchestra in a pretty neat 6 mic configuation, they covered the LOTR soundtrack, then I did all the post production and mixing for it, which was pretty minimal, EQ and some gentle compression to tame the higher peaks. I've also got some other personal projects to do, probably gonna be a while til they see the light of day because my schedule is a little hectic and far away from my setup for roughly a month.
I'm not here anymore, but if you want you can still just call me Mr. BigBagelBoggle!

I'm working hard on my procrastination skills. Instead of writing essays and preparing presentations and programing and reading and all those seemingly important things, I have been instaling LED nautical navigation lights in a sailors hat... Because reasons!
...
...
They're good reasons.

As for music works though... Slowly moving forward with my mashcore, sample spaming for No Morality, and written yet another short song for the very same album. I should realy get to recording those soon...

haha wow the attention to proper music theory is superb on this track! the only major issue i can think of rn is that i'm not quite sure what it's setting out to be, the bossa vibe is somewhat vague, and it sounds more like some 160+bpm edm..the wobbly bass thing can be a bit overwhelming at certain parts too, but the musical ideas here are really really sound, great job

right now i'm working on releasing a free EP of mostly covers with a very good friend of mine, here's the lead single (cover of a song by Foxing)

should be out today if everything renders properly!!

Humbly submitted for your criticism.

It's a very, very early take on this, very little attention has been paid to anything outside of the chord progression (yes, I'm aware of the missing drums a few patterns in...we did say it's an early take, did we not?)

EDIT: updated the Soundcloud embed.

Also, the thought occurs to me that, were she human, Twi would probably be an underpaid grad student with a purple Honda Civic with a Cal bumper sticker on it, and maybe an In-N-Out or Santa Cruz Mystery Spot decal somewhere...

Lol, me gusta, the snare is very loud, just bring it down a little, that high pitched noise (I dunno what it is) also needs to be brought down some, and that's about all I can say about it.

I made a little more progress on it, so I updated the embed above..

snare...that high pitched noise

Volumes reduced, hopefully that helps. The piano and crash cymbal are still a little weird, I think, and I need to sort out how the song actually ends...

In due time, I'm sure; Rome wasn't burned in a day...
