Told me he likes my shirt with Lyra saying "come at me bro" xD and every time I walk in there he says something about me being a brony. Just today he asked my name out of nowhere lol.

He also looks really cute o3o

Both ways lol.

2 days till I head back to Brisbane for another trimester of university :3 we're gonna be doing some more practical stuff this time around, recording, producing, learning how to set things up, should be fun. We're having a unit on electronic music too, so it'll be interesting seeing how much I learn and how much I already know from that class.

I just came back from a week of camp. It was cool to go to because I was getting away from family and work for a week. Except, both of my parents also went to camp. :/ was only a lol weird. My dad is cool. My mom and I didn't talk really at all at camp. She was gone the week before camp too so I have not really interacted with her much over the last two weeks. Not complaining tho. And then wait, my boss also went to camp with me. But he is cool. He basically also told me how to get a promotion pretty soon. :)
I had a good amount of fun at camp. Being an introvert person, camp helped the extravert part of me out a little bit. I went to camp with a lot on my mind, I was pretty stressed about the soon-to-be events in my life. I needed to talk to someone at camp about stuff, the kind of stuff I may talk about here but decided to not do (for the sake of some un-named people) because I haven't vented on here for a while, I've been building a lot of stress. So while at camp, I talked to my dad. I really needed to tell him about some of the choices I have made that will affect my family as we know it.
Just over a week ago, I purchased my first car. I am the only one of my siblings to have not gotten a free car from my parents. I paid for mine alone. I got the car secretly. I have also made the decision and plans to move out and figured out where ill be living. This was also a secret thing. I told my dad about it while at camp. And fortunate for me, he wasnt angry and he agreed to keep this information secret from my mom for a while.
I also told my boss about my struggles and plans. Fortunate for me, he supports my decision and understands me quite well.
Anyway, talking about this all made me feel a ton less stressed. So, yea. I'll be moving out soon enough here. I wanna ask some of you how moving out went for you.

Good to see some positives come up this time around bac c:

Anyway, I'm gonna dump some thoughts now, it's kind of an interesting discussion point

I got to thinking about the debate with the drinking age in Australia, since I'm 18 soon, which is the legal adult age for everything here (but weirdly you're allowed to smoke when you're 17 but you're not allowed to buy them...sorta defeats the purpose), anyway, a lot of people are saying we should make it 21 to try curb the underrage drinking problem we have here (to give you an idea, in my highschool it was abnormal for someone NOT to have been drunk by 15 years old). Does America have this to extent we do? I'm kinda curious since the age is 21 there. Also the media representation is kinda different between USA and Australia, since Australia is basically like Lil' Ireland when it comes to drinking stereotypes and it's on the news daily but I only ever see the 'wooo spring break paartyy" represented in american media.

I dunno, would the drinking age being raised even stop anyone from breaking the law anyway?

Here in the Netherlands, it used to be legal to drink when you were 16, in 2013. In 2014 it became 18+ only. The government ran a silly campaign to make sure underage people wouldn't drink. Well, I dunno but it didn't strike as effective to me. All underage people I know who drink, still do. I don't think raising the limit to 21+ would help one bit actually.

And yeah, I'm one of the only kids at the CCL that doesn't smoke (and a lot smoke weed and take other heavy drugs even) and doesn't drink (I was at a party where 17-year olds took 50% alcohol shots, as an example).
It helps that I have zero interest in both. I like being sober, in control. And next to that, I believe a lot of alcohol contains CO2, which I've never been able to drink, meaning instant "I don't think so, not drinking that."
And something about being bad with managing addictions. I mean, my nail biting and music addictions really went out of control.

@Bigglesworth

As an American, I can safely tell you that raising the drinking age would do little to curb the underage drinking problem. Yes, it would probably make it tougher for people to get drinks, but that wouldn't stop them. If someone wants to drink, they're going to drink. My high school isn't quite at the level yours was, but it's still uncommon to find someone who hasn't drank at least once.

My two cents: I find it incredibly stupid how here we are allowed to go off to war and legally kill people, but we're not allowed to go out to a bar and get a drink.

My personal view? The American drinking age of 21 is frivolous simply because it's impossible to enforce and even more impossible to comprehend. Like Biggles said, 18 is the legal age for, well, everything, but having been given that sense of power and still being told that one little thing - alcohol - is off limits just doesn't click in a teenager's head. If anything, the fact that that one thing is singularly banned makes it all the more desirable. Regardless, I have friends who are 16 and 17 and still drink (or smoke or whatever) all the time, and they simply don't care when it becomes legal since they're doing it anyway. However, for those who do care when it becomes legal for them, the surge of liberty given at the age of 18 provides a sort of delusion that just because they have some new rights instantly means that they should have all of them. In response to this, the best option is simply to make this delusion a reality and lower the drinking age to 18 so that everything can be done in one fell swoop.

One final thought; a lot of people go out on their 21st birthday and party and drink a ton of alcohol just to celebrate their new right to ridiculous extremes (and also to get smashed which is fantastic), so what am I supposed to do on my 18th birthday to exaggerate my new rights? The best idea I can think of is to go register dozens of credit cards, max them all out by buying lots of guns and cigarettes, rent an expensive apartment, file lawsuits on everyone I don't like, then enlist in the army and sell everything one day later. Yeah... still not as much fun as getting hammered.

@biggles
I have never had an alcoholic drink in my life. Being from America, they teach us this is all bad stuff. So, I kind of steer away. Along with smoking, I have never smoked.

This is just my thought on drinking. If you lower the age for drinking and make the legal driving age higher, it might actually benefit. Hear me out. If you strt drinking by 15, then by the time you are 19, you would already have has all the fun that comes with drinking. It would have been cool at first, but then lost its cool over time. Then there would be less drink driving because the age to drive would only include more mature drivers. Obviously there are going to be exceptions because everywhere you go, there are always idiots that deviate away from the rest.

Just wanted to let you guys know I'm now fully and completely in charge of Balloon Party as a whole, on my own. I'm here to make sure Academy of Power, and possibly future editions too, will prosper like I believe they deserve to :)

Tomorrow I'm gonna start thinking about how to handle this beast. First, sleep, to let everything sink in.

Light has settled down for now, to take it's rest after a particularly well and fully spent day. I join in, fading into the black void projected over me by my sleep. Let it settle my thoughts.

This is a cool idea, but I don't think it's really practical, because of how many 16 year olds practically need to drive to go about their daily lives (transporting themselves to school, work, etc.)

Also, I don't have much perspective on this sort of stuff because almost none of my friends have any involvement in drugs of any kind, and hardly anyone in my family either. Straight edge 4 lyfe, tbh.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know how to recover any amount of MIDI/plugin information from seemingly corrupted .flp project files that crash FL every time I try to open them?

I live in a suburban area (not a neighborhood, in the center of a suburban town though) and public transport here is nonexistent. Every rural area I've been to has none either; only large cities like NYC or LA or DC and smaller cities like Worcester and Providence and Hartford have any sort of viable public transportation system in America. Evidently it's different in Australia

Public transport in America is generally booty buttcheeks.

I would also argue that the drinking limit is not going to be a huge determiner of underage drinking. I honestly don't think drinking under the legal limit should be so openly discouraged. Rather, drinking in moderation ought to be taught no matter what.
