I'm not that big into house. I find most of it intolerable, save for the few tracks I know you and ArtAttack have done, which is more of a house/dubstep mix than plain house.
I think house (as a whole) is like a lot of EDM, where there's a few shining tracks, but more or less it's all stuff that sounds the same. I have a personal distaste for house simply because it seems there's a lot of people in the fandom that create house, and aside from the few pony samples they use, it's impossible to tell if it's inspired by the show.
So, for a favorite, "new," house song? Don't really have one. There's been a lot of house released, but nothing that's wowed me. Plenty of decent tracks that all sound virtually the same though.
As for my opinion on the music from the fandom? I think we're at a crossroads point. A lot of stuff being released seems to edge more towards regular music, which is both good and bad. The good is that now artists are (to put it bluntly) trying harder to make brony music appeal to both the fandom and outside. The bad, is we've seemed to have lost a lot of creativity going into the music.
For example, if I think about the brony music I still listen to, it's all from late 2011-mid 2012. Well crafted songs that were good music, AND they had this vibe from the show. Call it the good-feelings vibe if you will. All I know is it's too early to get nostalgic over it (according to science), so my only conclusion is that music back then was created with more passion within the community, and music now is created with larger audiences in mind.
Good Ol' Days - TLT, Mic the Mic, Jackle App
Cerulean Blue - Replacer
Party with Pinkie - Alex S
Just a few examples of tracks that really get me feeling good about the fandom as a whole. The Smile! charity album holds a big special place in my heart, because it was the first time I've heard such creativity, passion, and skill being put to a good cause.
IDK man, I guess all I'm saying is that there's a certain sound/vibe that most brony music had awhile ago, that's exceptionally rare or nonexistent today.
