<nonpony><chiptune/house> Retro Nightmare

Not an entirely new song per se, but a remaster of an old song featuring he who shall not be named (The Chip) with his gameboy playing the main melody (you can hear it variously throughout the song but go to that quieter area in the middle of the waveform to see it immediately).

I was really proud of this when I made it, and I still am. As usual, any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Man, I love chiptune and this didn't disappoint me.

The kick sounds really punchy which is great, and the claps are pretty spot on too. The percs are pretty awesome in general, thinking about it. The gameboy leads are a really cool take on house and I think you've nailed it on this one. The one criticism I might have is that the drone goes on for a while in the intro. I know there are percs that come in, and there is a tonal part under that, but it's still nearly 2 minutes before the main bulk of the track comes in. Now, I love drones so it's not a problem for me, but still something to maybe think about.

Great job though!

Yay, approval! No but seriously, thanks :)

And yeah, I'll fully admit to having trouble making songs the lengths they should be. This (and many of my songs, really) could probably be shortened down a fair bit.

I really like how the song feels full and complete, avoiding the hollow timbre sounds of many chiptunes I've heard. The beat is concise, the melodies are catchy as all hell and I can't really find any faults other than the previously mentioned intro part.

Great job, man!
