Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation, etc. Talk about stuff that isn't ponies or music. But do try to stay on topic and respectful of alternate opinions.

Hi tharr.

I'm Derpy. But I go by too many other names on the internet as well, like Syni, Synius, Kazango, River Precinct, etc etc, some of which double as music pseudonyms. Anyway, I'm 20, and I live in the middle of nowhere in East Texas. I've been doing music stuff as long as I can remember, but I've been producing/mixing/recording for about 6 years. I haven't tied myself to any one genre because I like too many of them.

Anyway, basically, I'm working on a pony album at the moment. It might take a while, only because I've been on an unintended musical hiatus (due to not being able to meet my own standards and eventually losing motivation), but I recently got out of that. (It happens--Never give up!)

Loooooking forward to hangin' 'round here when I can. c:

Ahh here's the introduction thread :)

I'm an older pony but love the show and the enthusiasm around it (plus i like that i can watch it with my kids and not want to hang myself (unlike Dinosaur Train). I've been making music for the last year rather prolifically and have taken a few stabs at mlp music recently. I spend loads of my time on RYM as thescientist where I've spent loads of my time exploring music, genres, the history behind it all. Glad the bronies there were quite prevalent on getting some of us turned onto the show and it's nice to check out this great place. :)

Introduction Threads are always fun to write in, so i thought "Eh, what the hell. Why not?"
So, here goes nothing i guess.

I am a 17 year old guy from Sweden. I've been a active musician for about 5 years know. I started out playing the Keyboard, and from there learnt to play the piano, Organ and Keytar. Since last year, i also play the drums and a bit of bass.
As for Music Composing, i've been doing it for about a year to a year and a half. I started out in Mixcraft and from there went on to FL Studio.

As for my other hobbies, my other big hobby is video games and video game development. I am currently taking Video game development class, where i learn all the basics of 3D graphics, design and programming.

I've been part of the Brony community for about 4-5 months now, so i guess you could say that i am a rather new brony.
Looking forward to listen to your stuff everybody.

18 year old from Saskatchewan, recently got into the show after going to a panel about it in a convention over the summer. Yes, an anime convention. Bought a Fluttershy notebook too~

I do graphics and web design. And I'm working on this.

Hello all! This site looks pretty cool and I'm trying my hand at making pony music, to mixed results.

I'm 16 from the US, and I play drums and bass and some piano, although this year was my first attempt at making electronic music. I like all kinds of music, but I enjoy making noise/ambient the most.

I've been a part of the brony community since April or May, and it's my favorite fandom! And Trixie is my favorite pony.

Hope I can make some new friends here!
I'm Decibelle, nice to meet you.

Hey all! Another aspiring musician here, just wanted to say hi. I'll probably be leaning towards more chill beats, alot like Prettylights without the samples. Also Notclev is also a big influence for me. I play the piano and I hope to contribute to the Pony cause soon!

Hello! I am CGEyeGuy! I mostly do Visual Art stuff, but for the past two years I have been making music mostly as a hobby. One of my friends introduced me to MLP during the beginning of Season 2
and I got hooked and watched all of the episodes. When I caught up I saw that there was amazing remixes and originals in the community so I am deciding to take a few tries in making some.

Hey everypony.
My name is David Larsen, and I do pony music (duh).
I'm currently the audio and music director on the Fiends From Dream Valley game project, where I met Makkon, who sent me here. That was a few months ago, but I finally pulled myself together, and so here I am :-).

I'm kind of a pony veteran, having been around since the beginning of the pony rule more than a year ago (back when there were only a couple of episodes out).
I'd love to be able to say that I was the first ever to do pony related music, but there's no way to know for sure 8-).

I don't really have a specific style of music... I'm experimenting with everything from crazy dubstep:

...to calm piano pieces:

...to epic orchestral arrangements:

...to funny (or at least hopefully funny) remixes:

Hi all!

I float around this site from time to time, and I decided to finally make an account. This forum seems like a cool place; I'm always impressed with the awesome music ya'll make.

I'm a huge fan of animation, and I love music, so MLP really resonates with me. The main thing that draws me to the show, however, is the creative community that has developed around it. It is just so damn fun!

To be honest, that's not too shabby! I've seen Swedish people writing alot worse than that.

And it's light years better than the Swedish dub of the series!

30-ish yo german guy here, in case you're wondering about my poor grammar skills. Love music, never really started to make my own though, even after learning a few instruments (just basics). Didn't have a lot of hobbies in general, besides gaming-related stuff. Then ponies happen and now I'm working on games, finally drawing stuff again, registered here, bought FL Studio and wonder what will happen next.

Hi! I'm Drew, or meletric, either one works. I'm 17 and planning on making some Jazz/Funk oriented tracks.

But more importantly, it's a tie between Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy for my favorite pony.

Hello, Biff0r! I remember listening to your MLP/vocaloid mash-up stuff back when I first joined the community. Also been looking forward to the CMC game. Glad to have you as part of the community!

It's always secrets and lies with these ponies. Secrets and lies. Everyone knows Princess Luna is best pony!

Hi! My name is Kibbie and I've been a fan of most people on this site. I've been trying to get into music making and what not. Hasn't gone extremely well though :P. I'm an expert when it comes to photoshop and adobe aftereffects. I do webpage design and have been making webpages for 4 years now, and love doing digital design. Who knows, maybe I could be helpful to somepony here that could need some artwork done, or even a funny photo made. I'm from California, won't name which city but it is southern. I also help run a small pony group as well on SwiftIRC.
