CMC:ADoA | Fluttershy's Cottage work in progress

Alright, lemme try this soundcloud thingie...

Is it working? That's a melody I'm currently working on (well, one of a handfull) for our CMC Adventure game. The scene will look pretty much like this:

I guess I'll try to make it a bit more soothing, though, didn't quite figure out how. I can't stand 'boring' calm tracks while working on them :(

Well, I'll be updating this as I go, so let me know what you think :)

edit: I didn't fine-tune a lot of panning, volumes and that focus-thing from my "help me!"-Thread, just in case you're wondering if I actually listen to all your great hints. I am :)

I liked it.
I would suggest EQing some of the bass frequencies out of the drums. Not too much, but currently they don't fit in that well. It should make it a bit more soft and light-hearted.

Subscribed to your SC page immediately.

I love how it is still upbeat and interesting while still fitting the setting perfectly. To often adventure games just have ambience.

Hope you like it a bit. Can this be moved to "completed" or should I open up a new thread?

If possible, consider getting rid of the clicking thing right at the start of the track. Other than that, it's going to be very adequate for its purpose.

Ok... I might be crazy or stupidly opinionated or something here, but I think there is a certain beauty in a simple drum beat. This song could do with less going on in the drum part! Very nice though! following you on SC.

Yeah, that's probably one of my bigger flaws, I'm always thinking about adding more and more stuff, and then the whole thing becomes convoluted somehow - gotta work on that :?
